Visited Chicago once in December, freezing cold……I remember Lake Michigan was partly frozen…….but worth it to see the Field Museum
As a Floridian it was pretty memorable…….l could not get warm…….the plane for home kept de-icing forever

Chicago winters can be BRUTAL, but winter is also REALLY bad in many other states as well! The major difference, in Chicago, is when the wind whips off lake Michigan in the dead of winter and you wind up with a wind chill factor in the minus teens!

Our fourth winter in Chicago was SO bad, that no matter what you wore/how bundled up your were, that freezing wind could still be felt in your bones!

The Field Museum is quite nice; however, the museums in Manhattan ( NYC ) are superior and the Museums in London are as well! I LOVE museums ( have done since I was a tiny child ), so I'm extremely familiar with ALL of the museums in these three cities.
