A the time, I didn’t realize they award most of those delegates at the caucuses which are attended by a miniscule fraction of the number of voters — even REAL Republican voters, and not just Democrat saboteurs — who participated in the primary last week.
Right - but it sounds like you think it was disappointing turnout.
My understanding is that the people who go to caucuses represent larger groups - a town or community will send someone to represent them at the caucuses - like an ambassador.
I could be wrong, but my impression was that these numbers were typical for caucuses - not disappointing.
