CNN - CVS and Walgreens said they’ve received certification to dispense mifepristone, a pill that’s part of a regimen for medication abortion, and will start making the medicine available in a limited number of states where it’s legal.

CVS told CNN that it’ll begin filling prescriptions for mifepristone in Massachusetts and Rhode Island “in the weeks ahead” and plans to expand to more states, “where allowed by law, on a rolling basis.”

Walgreens told CNN that it expects to start dispensing mifepristone within a week, “consistent with federal and state laws,” and is beginning in “select locations” in New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, California and Illinois. The pharmacy giant said it’s starting with a phased rollout “to allow us to ensure quality, safety and privacy for our patients, providers and team members.” The United States Supreme Court building in Washington, DC, in 2024.

Both pharmacy chains noted that they already dispense misoprostol, the other medication involved in medication abortion regimens.

Medication abortion is the most common method of abortion in the United States, according to data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It’s approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for use up to 10 weeks into pregnancy.

Mifepristone has been at the center of legal challenges in the US, and the Supreme Court said in December that it would consider whether to restrict access to it, with a decision expected by July.

Besides the obvious, what side effects could it have?

Medications & prescriptions, as well as Abortion, are fully in the control of the individual states.
Don’t like it? Convince your fellow State Citizens to change your laws.
If you don’t like your state laws, work to change them, or move to another state more to your liking.
It used to be these united States before it was The United States.
Let’s bring it back to where it’s supposed to be.

Dobbs kicked the ball into fifty courts; or, to put it another way, the fight for the unborn suddenly developed fifty fronts.

1. Life begins at conception, therefore terminating a pregnancy is wrong.

2. There may be physical and psychological risks associated with the use of the abortion pill.

3. Access to the abortion pill will likely lead to an increase in abortions, a negative outcome.

1. Life begins at conception, therefore terminating a pregnancy is wrong.

Hormonal birth control does not stop conception it keeps the egg from implantation and then when the woman switches to the yellow or green pills every cycle those cause the uterine walls to shed regardless of if an egg is implanted in them. So do you also oppose all forms of hormonal birth control since conception can happen any month or every month of the couple is sexually active enough. The first pill in the two pill sequence is nothing more than a bigger does of most hormonal birth control pills it’s a hormone therapy in larger dose. The second is all that is different it causes contractions to expel the uterine walls the first hormone already caused them to shed just like the green or yellow pills in a birth control pack. Identical in function.

“Life begins at conception, therefore terminating a pregnancy is wrong.”

Half the world disagrees with you.

In our system, SCOTUS put it rightfully back in State hands.

Convince your fellow citizens to change laws you don’t like.

Republicans need to get out of the anti-abortion business. They’re not going to win many elections unless they scrap all of their abortion-is-murder rhetoric.

Probably should come out in favor of murder. That would win them the homicidal vote.

Of Course they pick the two States filled with stupid people, who have convinced themselves to be geniuses, they actually think Voting D is in their DNA, of course both states have dispensed with private pharmacies. We can only get drugs from State sponsored Conglomerates. CVS started out as Consumer Value Stores in the late 60’s, sponsored then as a front For the Democratic Underground.

This^^^^^^ 1000 times this. If the genZ and millennia females come out in force to vote on this single issue crawl over broken glass issue for them they alone have the demographic numbers to swamp an election year. Genz and the millennial generation double the population of the boomers and some 70% of the youngers want pro-choice until at least 12 or 15 weeks. Abbot and his crew have put in a total ban in Texas this election cycle Texas goes purple at best and could tip blue if the genX soccer moms side with their daughters against Abbott and company banning even 12 week or earlier.

“. . . fertilization as the starting point of a human’s life. . . . Biologists from 1,058 academic institutions around the world assessed survey items on when a human’s life begins and, overall, 96% (5337 out of 5577) affirmed the fertilization view.”

They're pushing this as an antihelminthic of some sort. Just pull up to the window to pick up your order.

“The Scientific Consensus on When a Human’s Life Begins”

There are scientific “consensus” about lots of things, and lots of those are just political moves.

Half the world disagrees with your “consensus”.

Law and government rules are political, not scientific.

Convince your fellow citizens to change the laws, or move to a place that meets your views.
