Yep, zeepers say they’re pro-Trump, but that’s a lie. President Trump’s backers support AMERICA FIRST.

We all know that zeepers put Ukraine first. They don’t even try to hide it.

They’d bring our Free Republic to her knees just to keep Ukraine afloat.

When Election Day rolls around, they’ll be voting for whomever gives Ukraine the most funding.

No tank is indestructible, and a basic law of tank warfare is that the "win" goes to the tank that fires first.
If the Abrams was disabled, or its crew got distracted, that might explain how the Russian tank got off its shot first.

The question then is whether the crews survived?
Usually it's reported that the Ukrainian crews did survive, unlike Russian crews which are obliterated whenever a Russian tank is hit -- Jack in the Box:

To repeat the obvious, yet again: nobody posting on Free Republic has ever suggested we should ignore illegal immigration, especially the multi-millions which are Biden Administration policy to encourage and help settle.

Everyone here believes that closing down our borders and beginning to return illegal immigrants will be a first priority of the new Trump administration.

And, so far as I can tell, most here would support the idea of cutting a deal with Democrats that will provide aid to Ukraine in exchange for closing down our borders.
The problem with a possible deal is that Democrats themselves are 100% clear on their own priorities -- for Democrats, keeping our borders open for mass illegal immigration is existential, while helping Ukraine fight off Vlad the Invader is optional and therefore, Democrats have refused to cut the deal.

Meanwhile, Republican House Speaker Johnson has also stood firm, refusing to budge on Ukraine aid until Democrats give in on border security.
The result is stalemate, forcing Ukrainians to turn to other Europeans for more aid than ever before.
And, surprisingly, some European countries have stepped up to fill in the gaps in US aid to Ukraine.

I don't see that as necessarily a bad thing.

And there is another issue, the 800 lb gorilla, or 8,000 lb. monster in the room, the question Speaker Johnson asked many months ago -- what is our plan for victory in Ukraine?
If there is no real plan to win, then what the h*ll are we really doing there?

I think there should be a plan for Ukrainian victory and I'm OK if Speaker Johnson holds out until he's satisfied there is one.
In the meantime, Europeans and other friendlies should be forced to step up and meet their 2% minimum of GDP for defense and a significant percent of that as aid to Ukraine.

So, whether anything more can be accomplished before November 5 is anybody's guess, but regardless, the time will not be wasted if it's used to improve Ukraine's training and increase its reserve forces in anticipation of a time when materiel will be available to support their winning counter offensive.

I've seen nothing that, even in very general terms, remotely resembles a plan for Ukrainian victory.

The Biden slogan "for as long as it takes" is just an insane prescription for defeat, imho.
There has to be a better plan than that.

The real problem is that our Democrats since 1945 have never really cared about winning wars militarily.
For Democrats, wars are simply another method for them to defeat Republicans politically, witness Vietnam as prime example.

The Democrats' existential problem today is that they are solely to blame for their debacle in Afghanistan, and therefore it's beyond necessary that they spread the blames for defeat to Republicans in Ukraine.
Meaning, for Democrats, Ukraine is not about victory or defeat on the battlefield, but rather about defeating Republicans politically, by blaming Republicans for whatever goes wrong.

At least that's my view of it.

Donald Trump's view is that he can negotiate both sides into a peace deal, but nothing I've seen suggests that either Russia or Ukraine will ever give up on Crimea, and so I don't expect a deal or end of war anytime soon.

This is the day in 1964 when Democrats first realized they could trade military defeat against the Russians for political victory over Republicans.
Now 60 years later, it's still where we are today:

Zelenski has, along with many other Ukrainians and in “peace talks” with the Russians, defined the plan: Russia out of Ukraine and Crimea. That is the plan for victory over the invading Russians.

ONLY US politicians are stupid and weak and cannot do more that aid the Russians by withholding military assistance, while hiding behind the scam of a “border bill” which is totally unnecessary to closing the border.

Expect DJT to give the Ukrainians all the military assistance they need, as quick as it can be delivered, thus ending the Russian invasion and threat to Europe, bringing peace. There is no negotiated end to the invasion of Ukraine, DJT knows this.
