Chuck Todd is a hack. But, he may be right here. Trump’s 2020 debate vs Biden was awful. All he needed to do was let Biden talk yet, he kept interrupting him, and bailing Biden out with every eruption.
Biden is much more cognitively impaired than he was in 2020, but I would not underestimate Trump’s ability to screw it up. The fact is, as good as a president as he was he is a hot mess on the debate stage.

The leftist position on debates is sickening but no surprise. They are the child plugging his ears screaming “I can’t hear you”. They don’t want Trump unloading on biden on the border. They long for a return to “normalcy” where the truth on immigration is absent in public forums.

I don’t know whether [the debates are] going to help Biden or not but I don’t think they help Trump much at all. You're an idiot then. My guess is that Biden's handlers will not let him anywhere near a debate as he will be seen for the demented and totally incapacitated person he is. He can no longer even build a cogent sentence. Indeed, my money is the "Stage right hook" is permanently affixed to Joe's neck and that Joe will not be on the ballot.
