As a real estate investor, I frequently deal with the adult children of seniors. There are the conservative kids who know that dad would be best taken care of in a senior living community. Then there are the selfish, often detached kids in denial who see that dad had a good day and should just age in place - and not sell his house to pay for expensive assisted living (thereby ensuring their inheritance that they’re eyeballing). So, when the selfish kids get their way, the delusion is shortly lived out until dad (or, usually, mom) takes the bad fall or quick mental decline. So, the writer of this piece sees that dad had a good day (due to whatever adrenaline they shot into him). I’m fine with that, because I love the chaos that last night will cause among all of the self-centered childish democrats who want their inheritance. The result will be Donald Trump knocking on the door to issue their evicting papers, with the ambulance in the driveway to evacuate the corpse.
