WASHINGTON — President Biden was caught saying on a hot mic Thursday evening that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu needed a “come to Jesus” talk about the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
The president, 81, made the awkward comment about the Jewish state’s head of government while mingling with lawmakers following his State of the Union address — asking Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) to keep what he said confidential.
“I told him, ‘Bibi’ — and don’t repeat this, but [I said] ‘You and I are going to have a come to Jesus—’,” Biden began as an aide rushed over to stop him from saying more, exclaiming “Sir!” and whispering in his ear.
“I’m on a hot mic here,” Biden said out loud after the aide conveyed his message, adding sarcastically, “Good. That was good.”
Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg stood nearby, and it was unclear whether they overheard the remark.
The exchange with Bennet followed other candid comments in the aftermath of the speech, such as Biden quipping to Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) after he extolled the president’s remarks as evidence of his mental fitness, “I kinda wish sometimes I was cognitively impaired.”
When asked about the comment on Friday, Biden tried to plead ignorance, telling reporters as he left the White House for a campaign trip to Philadelphia, “I didn’t say that in the speech.”
After a reporter clarified that they were asking about the comment made “after the speech,” the president groused, “You guys eavesdropping on things.”

Telling the leader of the one nation of mostly Jewish people to change religions is sort of impolite.
As usual, he claims he never said it. Then sound recording proves he did. Then well, it wasn’t in a literal speech it was just after the speech so it doesn’t count, sort of.
Like Trump with his private joking about appealing to women and you could just reach out if you wanted, I’m sure he will be given equal treatment as Trump was given.😡

Joe Biden is terrified of losing Michigan because Muslims in Dearborn are opposed to the war in Gaza. If they lived in Los Angeles, Joe Biden is not going to care. But they live in a critical state that may decide the fate of the election. So Joe says “screw Israel”.
He once mentioned that one of his adversaries didn’t have a “Chinaman’s Chance .”
I find it the very nth of irony that Biden has the colossal nerve to even mention Jesus.... when he, himself, is so far removed from God and Jesus re: his lying, cheating, pro-abortion and other crimes against humanity... that it amounts to blasphemy when he even utters their name. And I suspect that Netanyahu probably sees that same irony even from his religious perspective.

See, the problem with the private Trump joke was that he was talking about golddiggers in the entertainment industry. That “IF HE WANTED TO, THEY WOULD LET HIM”. That kind of remark usually, in normal english, means he did not want to.

I pulled those numbers out of my a$$, but Biden does it every time he speaks. What’s good for one old fart is good for another. However, I do believe my guess is pretty close to reality. Biden lives in an alternate reality.

It’s a good thing Biden remained upright and jacked up. Convinced the party to keep him. He won’t be like that for long.
You’re right with all of that. It’s actually in Netanyahu’s interest to “listen” to the Americans and drag out the war longer in Gaza so he’ll stay in power longer. But his excuse is that he’s just doing what Biden wanted him to do to minimize civilian casualties and to free the hostages in Gaza. Netanyahu could do the Roman method and salt the ground like they did in Carthage. But he’ll lose power tomorrow and the government will ask him questions about what happened on 10/7. He doesn’t want to deal with that now.
Not only that but most people don’t have somebody secretly recording them and egging them on
