EU aims to shift European arms industry to ‘war economy mode’

The European Commission will propose on Tuesday ways for the European Union to boost its arms industry so it can shift to “war economy mode” in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Thierry Breton, the European industry commissioner, will lay out proposals to encourage EU countries to buy more weapons together from European companies, and to help such firms increase production capacity, according to EU officials.

“We need to change the paradigm and move into war economy mode. This also means that the European defense industry must take more risks, with our support,” said Breton, previewing the package.

Breton, a French former tech company CEO, has also said the possibility of another U.S. presidential term for Donald Trump — who has questioned Washington’s commitments to NATO — means Europe has to do more to protect itself. …

The EU elites wanted this all along. They just had to weaken the USA enough before making their move.

A lesson we should have learned from trying to root the Japanese out of Peleliu and Iwo Jima, tunnel branch by tunnel branch and ravine by revine. Seems we didn’t even remember WWI. It is interesting to note that we were astonished at Iwo that our naval bombardment preperation was largely ineffective after 5 days of hammering away. The Russians seem to have learned that, well if 100 tons of artillery shells won’t be enough you come with 1000 tons and another 1000 after that.

We just counted on the Russians being incompetent and running out of everything - in the first few weeks - by which the Russians would have given up, toppled Putin and handed themselves over to the beneficence of WEF and its cohorts.

Think about the fact that EU elites have wanted this for decades. It’s not about defending themselves.

I surmise you’re a fan of anti-Trump propaganda, as well as lies out of the EU in general.

LOL, and we wound up finding out that our Drag Queen-infested military was EXACTLY what we thought Russia’s was...even though Russia still has some straight guys in charge (that should have been a clue).

IF we focused our budget on legit defense items and not wokedoke nonsense that’d free up some money.

“France’s Macron is the one beating the ‘war drum’.”

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

You say Macron is beating the war-drum?

Well... there are 400.000 Russian troops illegally invading Ukraine as we speak. They invaded Ukraine even though the Kremlin has recognized Ukraine being a sovereign country with recognized international borders. Russia signed the Budapest Memorandum in 1994 recognizing Ukraine’s borders which includes Crimea, and that also contained the agreement that Russia would never invade Ukraine.

There are zero NATO or French combat troops in Ukraine.
Thus, WHO is actually the “beating the war-drum”? Yes, that is evidently Russia.

On a side note what also did its part in triggering the war:

It’s the failed coup done by the pro-russian Viktor Ianoukovytch (then president of Ukraine back then) who against the vast majority of Ukrainians suddenly trashed a deal he was supposed to sign within days with the EU.
Instead, he accepted cash from the Kremlin and signed a crazy Ukrainian-enslavement deal with Russia... A true treasonous horror-show.

THAT was the moment the Ukrainians went to the streets to demonstrate. Viktor Ianoukovytch ordered his troops to shower the demonstrators with bullets. Scores were massacred.

Viktor Ianoukovytch also asked Moscow to send Russian troops into Ukraine (!) to quell the demonstrators.
Yes, he asked for FOREIGN military intervention to meddle in internal politics! Do you understand the level of high treason that represents?

Luckily the vast majority of the Ukrainian population prevailed against the neo-soviet tyrant. He fled to his friends in.... yes you guessed it: MOSCOW.

He has since then been sentenced for high-treason by the Ukrainian courts.

Ukraine’s ex-president Viktor Yanukovych found guilty of treason. Exiled former leader sentenced to 13 years’ jail over 2014 protests and Russian invasion

You either are using fear of gays to fool people, or you have a pathological fear yourself.

No one tried to “topple Putin” or Russia, that’s a fantasy version of history while Putin has been literally destroying his neighbors.

Oh well, NATO has now expanded to some very strategic countries and your buddy Putin is looking every bit as stupid as you.

“France’s Macron is the one beating the ‘war drum’.”

Perhaps, but Putin is playing the melody.

My thoughts exactly.
Moving the NATO border right up to the Russian border is stupidity, not diplomacy. Neutral Sweden is becoming a member now? Good grief!
Reminds me of a Churchill quote. When asked how he would describe the Second World War, Churchill stated emphatically that he called it “…the UNNECESSARY war…”.
Europe stumbled its way into that war through political incompetence, wishful thinking and appeasement.
Everyone is blaming Putin, and while nobody thinks Vladimir is a nice guy, he’s doing what ANY Russian leader would.
Russia was always going to win this conflict, no matter what other countries do or think. Time is on Russia’s side. Eventually the West will tire of the effort and cost, and when the smoke clears, Russia will prevail.
Pursuing this is an enormous waste of time and money, not to mention innocent lives.
Stop the war mongering and focus on America’s needs first.

This is about EU elite ambitions, not about their defense. They actually do not fear Russia, having made a backdoor agreement years ago.

I think Putin is working with the WEF and US/EU elites.

This entire war is a sham meant to trigger the Great Reset.

A small nuclear exchange would take everyone’s minds off trespassers, shutting down farms, the surveillance state, etc.

After the dust settles, the US Constitution can be swept away and US/EU reorganized into the socialist utopia that Putin, the WEF and Democrats have dreamed about.

You either are using fear of gays to fool people, or you have a pathological fear yourself.

Civilizations are not destroyed by denial of license to carry weapons or denial of free speech or any of the other hot-button Freeper non-negotiables. They're destroyed by perversion of God's moral law, even more so by the celebration of that perversion and still more by the persecution of those who wish to observe God's law and who refuse to go along with the new immorality.

This is not about "fear of gays". Homosexuality has been with us since the dawn of civilization. This is about imposition, with menaces, of an anti-God, anti-Christian culture by the real dictators on planet Earth. This evil has its roots in the West and the USA in particular and NATO is the military wing of this evil ideology. This is not about perverts sinning in private. This is about the complete inversion of traditional morality by the state such that perversion is now held up as enlightenment while traditional Christian vales are now painted as "hatred" and "hate crimes".

There's a problem, though. A sizeable part of humanity won't go along with the neopaganism. One part is the Islamic world but that's a dangerous creature to fool with. Another dissenting voice is Russia and that is a more fruitful line of adventure, at least in the minds of our secular humanist overlords. Having toppled the Soviet Union, they feel that the Russian problem can be solved by applying the economic and military thumb-screws which were successful during the Cold War. Hence the eastward expansion of NATO and the transformation of the Ukraine into a client state of the US State Department.

I seem to recall the US getting a little disturbed in 1962 when the Soviet Union wanted to station missiles on Cuba. It almost started a world war. Apparently we don't have a problem, though, with encircling Russia with hostile forces and weapons a short distance from their borders. Is that because we're the "good guys"? Are we a law unto ourselves?

NATO is the military arm of the New World Order but the Russians won't go quietly. Russia is the only First World country where the ruling elites are not led around on a leash by the sodomites and that is a big, big problem.

We did help Ukraine after 2014. And they changed their army so they’re able to fight the Russians. But apparently we haven’t done enough. NATO should have been more aggressive after 2014 to deter Putin. Putin is just like Hitler. The only way to stop him is to give him a bloody nose.
