Barbie film grossed $1.446 billion worldwide and is 14th highest film gross in history, plus being highest grossing film of year. Female director ignored by Academy but beat out all the men with success of her film. Only statistics that count.
That just proves how dumbed down the world is becoming, especially the USA. I wouldn’t even watch those movies, let alone give them any prizes. But that’s me.
Won’t be watching Barbie, but I did recently watch “Oppenheimer” on my streaming service. I like actor Cillian Murphy who previously starred in “Peaky Blinders.” Glad to see he won best actor instead of some diversity actor who didn’t deserve it.
