President Joe Biden on Monday released a $7.3 trillion budget proposal, which sparked swift opposition from congressional Republicans.

The proposed $7.3 trillion budget is for fiscal year 2025, which will run from October 2024 through September 2025. It contains many of Biden's 2024 campaign promises, such as tax credits and increased taxes on the wealthy, per Axios.

Of course it will last. It HAS to last. G . . . government spending . . . is an increasingly powerful parameter in the GDP equation of GDP = C(onsumption) + I(nvestment) + G + (Exports - Imports). GDP is about 25T. G at 7T is almost 1/3 of it.

You can’t cut spending without cutting GDP. That’s just math and it is inescapable.

It’s too late. It all went too far. There is no solution.

No, that's Keynesian thinking. Government spending crowds out private-sector activity. Cutting government spending will improve the private-sector economy in the long run.

This cannot last.

Agree but until they are voted out of office nothing will change time for people to wise up to who is doing what to you.

If you remove deficit spending from the Fed Gov at this point we will have a 12.5% recession not 2.3% growth as they are claiming now. Talk about a bad day.

According to 2021 population numbers, 7.3 trillion would be around $2,207,831.33 per person in the USA.. I think.(?)

I support two in my family, does that mean a gotta come with four million, four hundred and fifteen thousand, six hundred and sixty two dollars and sixty six cents.. Forgetaboutit.!!

Seems the federal government has become more than the people can possibly support...

Mike Johnson is useless. He’s just a better actor than Kevin McCarthy (so far).

I wouldn’t say he’s a better actor. Just a newer, more recent one for that job. There’s a reason why it ended up being him as speaker, instead of ...say.... Jim Jordan. Same idiots that picked Britt for the rebuttle, I’m thinking... and for the same reasons.... chose Johnson.

Some people did not like Jim Jordan and would not vote for him. I view that as a good thing.

Mike Johnson got the support of everyone like Kevin McCarthy. I see that as a negative.

Jim Jordan is more likely to fight Biden. The uniparty is not going to like that. Because it wouldn't be business as usual.

By some people, do you mean RINO supporters and leftists? Because those are the ones he has mostly pissed off and gone up against. Jordan has been very effective at combating the left, which is why I wanted him as speaker, even though I knew he didn’t stand a chance.

As for McCarthy liking Johnson, of course he did. Johnson is a lesser known, mini-me clone of McCarthy when it comes to political ‘character and stance’. They figured we’d never see it coming... and most still haven’t.

And yeah, Jordon would never be ‘allowed’ to be speaker because of his already well-known effectiveness against the left. Can’t have that. Gotta have a squish in there that’s willing to go along to get along with the Marxists.

We may have a lot of RINOs in the House to replace. 100? 150? Freedom Caucus appears to be solid. But there’s just not that many of them.

Granted... it’s an uphill battle. But I suspect that things will continue to get worse... and will get bad enough that.... with any luck and hopefully... by election day, more folks will be ready and willing to stop voting stupid and vote Trump back in. At least, that’s the last, best hope. And that’s assuming that we get to go through with an election this year.

We know just how desperate the left is already and they can see for themselves how people are struggling and losing ground in more ways than just economically. This is ‘the’ most stressful election year yet, all things considered.

It’s been this way since 1975; Government spending EXPLODED at the end of the Vietnam War. (Or ‘conflict’ or...whatever it was...)

The Socialist Democrats and feckless Quisling republicans are proving that we’re, ‘not out of other peoples’ money,’ yet!

Good analogy.

$7.3T/365/24/60/60 = $231,481.48 per second

The time it takes light to travel one mile is 1/186,282 seconds.

231,481.48/186,282 -> $1.24 spent during the length of time it takes light to travel a mile

1/186,282 seconds is 5.37 microseconds (µs).

Spending would be about $0.23/µs or $1 per 4.33 µs.

Biden and the Democrants want to spend money faster than the speed of light.

Simplifying the math - one light year is 5.87 trillion miles.
