I had the same experience. I think I happened on the start of it, watched a few minutes of Jimmy Kimmel's completely unfunny "monologue", and turned it off.
What I did notice was that the next day, one would usually hear about who won Best Picture/Actor/Actress. There was nothing. Even on the "home page" at MSN, on my computer, nothing. I found that unusual. Those items were usually things you would see on the news, or on certain sites on the computer. Silence. The "Oscars" are so over.
