But also my point stands. Get more GOP and it won’t be an issue. Remember the issue was they needed ever single GOP vote to get him across the barrier. So to get that he had to concede to 1 vote to bring up vote to remove speaker.
There’s a wonderful bit on Rin and Stimpy where one of the characters is shown a big red button with the only instruction being not to hit it. Of course, it proves irresistible to do so.
The Motion to Vacate nonsense is a formula for anarchy and disorder. It was a dumb compromise move by McCarthy to win what turned out to be a worthless prize.
