American Missionaries Whom Joe Biden Abandoned in Haiti Plead for Rescue
Breitbart ^ | 3-13-24 | John Hayward

American missionaries trapped in Haiti pleaded for rescue on Tuesday, reporting constant gunfire around their hideaway and corpses rotting in the streets. The group’s leader said the only assistance they have received from the Biden administration was advice to “be safe.”

“Okay, well, that’s not really helpful,” Jill Dolan of the group Love A Neighbor said of the response she received from the U.S. Embassy when she asked for help getting her family out of Haiti.

“My fear is that we will be caught in the middle of something really dangerous. We’re already on the front lines of it; we’re in a bad area. It’s kind of depressing. The gunfire never stops,” Dolan told the New York Post on Tuesday.

Dolan and her family are holed up in a “makeshift motel” in the capital city of Port-au-Prince, where the worst battles of Haiti’s immense gang war have been fought. She and her family founded Love a Neighbor — a nonprofit missionary charity, based in Washington State — to help manage a small orphanage for children abandoned or sold by their impoverished parents.

Dolan said she was on her way out of Haiti to attend a wedding in Florida with her husband and adopted teenage children when gangs attacked the airport, causing all commercial flights to be canceled.

“We’ve contacted agencies to extract us out. They have just said, ‘It’s way too dangerous where you are; you have to stay put,’” she told CBS News on Wednesday.

Biblical missionaries are to go where the Lord leads without expecting gov. assistance, and usually opposing them.

Brandon is sending our Military to build a floating pier off Gaza's coastline. Construction will take up to two months and require 1,000 U.S. troops who will remain off shore. Once complete, it will enable delivery of 2 million meals and other supplies daily.

And later handed to the PA which can use it to deliver weapons?

The primary purpose of the pier is to transport 750,000 pali sand rats to the USA. You can take that to the bank.

“Whatever you did for the least of these my brethren, you did for me.” Jesus likes that a lot.

Is there a reason why the poverty and misery in parts of the US didn’t call them?

Why is it more praiseworthy to go abroad to zones of unrest and conflict putting America at risk of having to extricate you and your family when there is so much that is desperately needed in America?

I confess to real dislike of programs that glorify such service and put young men & women in harm’s way, assuring them during recruitment of their safety and then refuse to help them when they are raped or attacked.

The glorifying of missionary service abroad preys on the natural desire of young people to serve and make a difference but is misguided at best. If the service is important and not the desire to feel noble or exciting the venue need not be exotic.

I fail to see why a conversion abroad is more valuable than one in one’s own Country. Vocations among the young people in the target country could be assessed and those so moved could be helped to become effective, even brought for training and education.

Consider…..the US essentially has a church almost ‘on every corner’ in some towns….
….Reading materials, TV evangelists, etc …the availability to the WORD is out there, easily accessible

It’s not for natives of many countries

I was taught to esteem and pray for those who carry the Gospel…….

Apparently, there’s one thing Biden is really good at, i.e., abandoning Americans.

The chaos in Haiti and everywhere else is designed to provide a basis for importing the numbers of people necessary to overwhelm the United States.

We are being pre-conditioned to accept this with television shows like “The Walking Dead” so that we treat the invaders as something sub-human that are easier to kill when the violence rises to a fever pitch.

We are being controlled, acclimatized, drugged, and driven to a state of ennui so we do not rise up and stop this when we can.

“I am not aware of any state or city that could not use Christian missionaries right there at home.”

What’s little ironic is that some foreign countries are sending Christian missionaries here to America. Yes. We ARE that bad.

OTOH, I come from a family of many missionaries, and I know first-hand how amazing these people can be. You might not like or appreciate what they do, but they are obeying The Great Commission. It’s not a choice they make; it’s a life God leads them to.

“It’s frikkin’ Haiti. They should’ve either known better or had a plan for their own escape.”

Non-Christians are ignorant of the concept of foreign missions. If Haiti is where God led them, they’re exactly where they need to be. Hopefully, they can be rescued. If they can’t, then they can’t. I know many people on the foreign mission field, and all of them were aware going in that there’s a great possibility they will sacrifice their lives.

I understand that you don’t get it because your heart is in a different place.

“we go a new pastor and our focus changed to missions right here at home “

For a long time I’ve believed that some of a church’s line items for missions in the budget should be re-allocated to supporting members to send their kids to Christian schools.
