Most of the people I know and have known are “the right”... and they have no problem punishing “malfeasance”. It’s usually those on the left and those only pretending to be on ‘the right’ that have that issue.
I get what you’re saying as those on the Right support law and order as a general principle. They also believe in the concept of accountability. However, the problem is that the people we elect rarely take those on the Left to task. There’s usually just a lot of rhetoric but little if anything in the way of serious push back or consequences.
Because of that the Left simply has no fear or respect for the Right. They know the Right lacks the will to punish them. Trust me on this — I worked around lots of liberals and this is their mindset.
