“However, the problem is that the people we elect rarely take those on the Left to task. There’s usually just a lot of rhetoric but little if anything in the way of serious push back or consequences.

Because of that the Left simply has no fear or respect for the Right. They know the Right lacks the will to punish them. Trust me on this — I worked around lots of liberals and this is their mindset.”

You have a valid point. We (those of us on the right) have not truly been represented for decades. Those voted into office make lame promises and once in, they proceed to ignore what we wanted and do as they please. But by that standard they are only pretending to be ‘on the right’... since they are, IMO, acting more like those on the left. If you will notice, the reps that truly are on the right always at least attempt to fulfill the common-sense promises they made. I’m talking about reps like Abbott, DeSantis, and yes, Trump, too.

You have my sympathies re: working around liberals. One reason why I detested working for big corporations... the idiotic liberal corporate environment and all of the BS that comes with it. It’s even worse since 2009, as if that could have been imagined back then. One thing I learned quickly and consistently. If the company you work for suddenly starts insisting on doing liberal corporate crap like wasting time on “values brainstorming sessions”... start looking for another job. They’re covering for an impending collapse. And like true liberal idiots everywhere, they’re too stupid to logic out that forcing employees to waste more time on stupid PC stuff is only going to tank the company faster (duh).

One of my (few) conservative colleagues was very outspoken and not afraid to point out liberal hypocrisy. The libs running the place humored him in a condescending way, as they are want to do. They tolerated him because of his seniority, high level of education, likability, and skills. Lacking those attributes he probably would have been been pushed into a corner somewhere so they wouldn’t have to interact with him.
