But in a state where camouflage-colored appeals have become commonplace, recent efforts by progressive groups to cut into what has long been a reliably red constituency face an election-year test.
Tar Heel State veterans interviewed earlier this month, ahead of Super Tuesday primary voting in some of the most active-duty and veteran-populous states, varied in their politics, even if they agreed that their military service had informed their opinions.
Ryan Rogers, who fought in Afghanistan and Iraq, said the Biden administration mishandled the August 2021 attacks on Kabul’s airport that killed at least 60 Afghans and 13 U.S. troops during U.S. forces’ Afghanistan withdrawal.
The right-leaning independent voter from eastern North Carolina said he fears the blasts signaled a weakness that could endanger U.S. troops overseas. “I don’t care what side you’re on,” he said. “You better be strong.”
But Ric Vandett, a 78-year-old Vietnam veteran from Hickory, said he could not vote for President Joe Biden’s predecessor, Donald Trump. The left-leaning independent voter said he cannot forget Trump’s refusal to acknowledge defeat in the 2020 election, which, in his view, led directly to the Jan. 6 siege against the U.S. Capitol by Trump supporters seeking to block congressional certification of Biden’s victory over Trump two months earlier.

But that’s not true. As long as half the people believe Biden won fair and square in 2020, then they must also believe the rest of the Left’s narrative - that Trump is an lying tyrant who won’t accept defeat and that all his supporters are insane.

The focus group attendees said they had already heard far worse attacks that were proven to be false—they had no reason to believe the new ones.

North Carolina isn’t even a swing state in this election. Trump is closer to Pedo Joe in Virginia than Pedo Joe is to Trump in North Carolina.

It’s sad for me when a fellow combatant like this is used for this type of cheap advertising. And the stupid part is that by January 6, the election was over. The states decide the electoral votes, not the congress. All they do is tabulate the electoral votes that has already been done probably a hundred times. They have no say in the votes or the individual state’s winner. It is a formality, not an action. So if it is already decided, how can anyone change it?

This is from the AP. The people there hate themselves and humanity… they literally try convince young women to kill their babies… and if that doesn’t work they try to get them to cut off their children’s penises or breasts.
Visit any VFW post in NC and you will find major, if not total, support for MAGA and Trump. (count me as one) I know of a near-by county with large numbers of veterans, many retired, and the elected county commissioners are all Trump-types - 100%
