Pinkerton: Why Only 16% of Americans Have Confidence in the Federal Government and What to Do About It
Breitbart ^ | 03/16/2024 | James P. Pinkerton

Just 16 percent of Americans have confidence in the federal government. No surprise.

Looking back at this polling series by the Pew Research Center, we see that public confidence in the federal government peaked at 77 percent back in 1964; as recently as 2001, confidence stood at 54 percent. No need to rehash all the reasons for the decline, but if more than four in five Americans mistrust the federal edifice, the phenomenon is bipartisan and far-reaching.

I am ready for the whole country to break apart. I honestly don’t care anymore about it. It is unsalvageable IMO. Liberals are just too stupid to live with.

More like a ‘Feral’ Government?... I don’t see a functioning government operating anymore....certainly not the justice system.

The District of Corruption is a cesspool managed by Satanic psychopaths.

No one, in his right mind, could possibly expect ANYTHING remotely honest, sane, or decent from that cesspool.

It’s akin to going into the sewer with a new fishing rod expecting to catch some Alaskan salmon.

I spit at upon Sodom and Gamorrah 2.0; the Satanic toilet that it is.

Give states the power to deport illegals.

Eventually. In the meantime, since the feds are responsible for most of them being here, the feds need to do that job instead of inflicting it on the states and then making the states bear the cost and responsibility of enforcement and financially bearing that burden.

I suppose the first thing to do is educate that deluded 16%.

They must live in one heck of an impenetrable bubble.

Make any investments while an elected official, illegal.

Interesting, because that would include the kind of normal investments of 401K and CDs that most people make themselves.

However, I can see restrictions on playing the stock market because of insider trading and information.

Term limits.

People need to stop voting for career politicians. So what if someone running for office has no *experience*.

That also means they are far less likely to have been compromised and owing favors.

2. Electro shock the press every time they tell a lie.

I really like that one. Not only would it be great entertainment it might be the most effective way of bringing about the changes we need.

Can the national grid support that? 🤔

The Confederate States of America figured this out long ago, and tried to act accordingly. It wasn’t about “muh slavery”, although it did aggravate things.

There are revolutions happening in the world right now. America herself has already gone through two, why do you think they’re never be a third?

Most Americans are way too complacent and things aren’t bad enough yet, but in time we will get there if current conditions persist. And to produce an uprising someone will have to organize and get together a considerable amount of people, and as it is right now, as crooked and corrupt our government may be they are still of an overwhelming force to nip such gatherings in the bud. The only thing I can see is that we may get more and more individual attacks on power structures etc. by disgruntled and dissatisfied people. We already saw some of it in form of intentionally set fires etc. Well, I am already beyond my expiration date, so I won’t have to worry about it much longer. In any case thanks for the reply and stay healthy and well.

I have no trust in the federal government because.... they are incompetent, lazy and take it out on you.

The last part is the one that ramps my distrust up to 11.

Because they have the malice and the will to make your life hell not because you did something wrong but because they can never be wrong.

The power of the federal bureaucrat needs to be checked and unleashed only after a review by someone who is NOT part of the federal government.

And they need to check each others work. Not just assume because G1 said something it came down from the mountain on stone tablets.
