Possibly some clerk with an axe to grind or something at the firm might, but no atty is going to talk to the press about this on the record, and no smart on is going to mention it at all to the press on or off the record.

The piece also quotes Alina Habba and Clifford Robert.
“Obtaining such cash through a ‘fire sale’ of real estate holdings would inevitably result in massive, irrecoverable losses — textbook irreparable injury,” defense lawyers Alina Habba and Clifford Robert wrote.
Correct. I think this is either just a hit piece or a negotiating ploy by the attorneys.
If it’s in a court filing, his attorneys signed it.
That being said, Trump’s attorneys may be able to use this to argue the verdict was a constitutionally prohibited “excessive fine.”
The Magadeathcult is aggressively stupid. It’s completely legitimate to believe Trump is getting screwed unfairly. It’s another to attribute every bit of bad news to “fake news.”

How is he getting screwed? Wouldn’t any defendant who lost a case and was ordered to pay a judgment be required to post a bond pending appeal? Trump is a multibillionaire. Why doesn’t he secure the bond with cash so the bond companies don’t have to worry about getting repaid?
Trump doesn't have $500M in liquid assets. Most Billionaires don't. His money is in his business and property holdings. Sure, buyers would line up to buy Trump Tower, Mar A Lago, Trump Doral, Trump Chicago, Trump Las Vegas, Trump Doonbury, Trump Waikiki, or any of his hotels, golf courses or other businesses at 30%-50% off. That is the whole point of this filing :
