Supreme Court allows Texas to enforce immigration law

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed Texas to enforce a contentious new law that gives local police the power to arrest migrants.

The conservative-majority court, with three liberal justices dissenting, rejected an emergency request made by the Biden administration, which said states have no authority to legislate on immigration, an issue the federal government has sole authority over.

See my post #39.

The ruling is good of course because it is constitutional.

My objection is the lousy lying media will never mention the Constitution.

ALL federal laws are SUBJECT to the Constitution. If a federal law is inconsistent with the Constitution the law is invalid.

The more you study along the lines of what I sent you, the better you’ll understand, but ask questions, that’s also good. But also study. That’s you homework. :).

I seem to recall that Trump challenged/decided not to include illegals in the census.

President Trump wanted to add the citizenship question to the census, but SCOTUS blocked him on procedural grounds saying that the process to arrive at the decision to include it was unclear.

SC should allow Texans to repel invaders by the use of armed force.

>> The USSC has just recognized that being here illegally is a criminal act and is arrestable. <<

If it is a criminal act crossing the Rio Grande uninvited, a few shots across the bow would be appropriate. It will at least convey to these barbarians that they are not welcome here. Presently they are under the impression that we don’t mind their blatant invasion and neither seems the SCOTUS to be bothered by it. The question now is if we are allowed to protect our property from these invaders while they are in the process of kicking in our front door or must we remain silent and approve their home invasion? It is easier to stop them while they cross the river than when they appear violently at our front door or will we be allowed to converse with them through a 911? Beaucoup citizens should know the proper answer before they get into legal trouble.(A little French is appropriate as we can expect to be invaded by Haitians very soon and,God knows, who else)

I may have spoken too soon about the level of understanding of the problem by the USSC.
