Half of Haley voters in Ohio say they'd back Biden: Preliminary exit polls

Two in 10 to as many as three in 10 Republican primary voters in Ohio continue to resist Donald Trump’s presidential candidacy -- and among those supporting Nikki Haley, half say they’d back Joe Biden in November, according to preliminary exit poll results from the Republican primary.

While majorities in preliminary exit poll data express loyalty toward Trump, the extent of intraparty challenges may matter in what’s expected to be a close contest in November. Despite his having sewn up the nomination, 21% of Ohio GOP primary voters would be dissatisfied with Trump as the nominee, 24% say he lacks the temperament to serve effectively, and 29% say he wouldn’t be fit for office if convicted of a crime.

Meaning they were democrats to begin with.

Exactly. If they support that dimbulb crook Biden, they’re not remotely conservative.

Sort of open. You can request whichever ballot you want but the state will then register you as a member of that party for the next two years. So yeah democrats can go and vote for Moreno, (thinking he’s an easier target for Brown than Dolan) but then claim they were Haley supporters who will now vote for Biden. All a dirty game.

Despite the findings of this survey, Ohio has turned red enough in recent years that I doubt Biden will expend resources to seriously contest the race there. That was evident in 2022 when J.D. Vance dispatched Tim Ryan handily. Republicans should be able to flip the Senate seat in 2024 and rid the Senate of the despicable Sherrod Brown.

This being said, the results last week in Georgia are troubling. Georgia is a crucial swing state in 2024, and 15.5% of Georgia Republican voters did not vote for Trump in the GOP primary, even though every other GOP candidate had dropped out of the race. He should have carried 98% of the vote.

I’m no fan of Nikki Haley, but her point was valid when she said Trump now needs to earn the votes of those GOP primary voters who have not supported him to date. I’m not sure he can do that in Georgia. Brian Kemp won a tough gubernatorial race in 2022 going away. It would be ideal for Trump to ally himself with Kemp’s machine in Georgia, but instead he attempted to take Kemp out in the 2022 primary by running Perdue against him.

Trump has his MAGA base in Georgia, but there are also a significant number of Republicans and Independents who have no use for him. It remains to be seen if those voters can stomach voting for the corrupt and feeble Biden in November. If Trump were wise, he would act now to make peace with Kemp.

"Was it an open primary?"

Ballotpedia: "Ohio law provides for open primaries, meaning voters do not have to register with a party to participate in its primary. Voters select the ballot of the party whose primary they wish to vote in at the polling place."

Watching Biden’s speech in Nevada. They’ve added something new to his teleprompter. Trying to make it seem like he’s competent.

Examples:

When I wrote this speech I couldn’t help but think of Harry Reid.
As I wrote the bill, When I wrote that bill.
I asked the treasury department to study the cost of…

Slurring out about 32 various billions of dollar figures “I provided “

These are the commie republican baby killers that are about 2-3% of the republican vote that turns at the state level, at least here in PA. the precincts that are conservative still have that 2-3% that turn and vote dem at the top of the ticket. That’s a 4-6% net deficit.

This is what a realignment election looks like. Republicans who desire a return to the party of Wall Street, big business and the country club will join the Democrats.

Democrats who realize their party has gone off the rails into communism and treason will join the Republicans.

Primary Election Process: Michigan is an “open primary” state.

Michigan
Primary Election Process
Michigan is an “open primary” state. You can choose the party’s ballot you wish to vote. This decision does not register you with that party and it is a private decision.

If you have any questions about your state’s primary election, please contact your local election officials.

The fact that they have separate ballots for the two parties does not make it a closed primary. They ask to know which ballot to provide to the person voting.

She was just wasting our time so she could trash Trump

Even after she swore on a video that she would never do that. Icky Haley has destroyed any future she had in politics.
