Seal the border...militarize it if necessary.
No more aid or trade with meheco.
Didn’t President Wilson send General “Blackjack” Pershing after Poncho Villa?
If only there had been common sense gun laws back then./s
“Mexican president praises Pancho Villa for his 1916 attack on Columbus, New Mexico that killed 18”
Perhaps so, but he opened an EXCELLENT RESTAURANT in The Mission.
(if you don’t know what I’m referring to, ask a human)
We should have our military lining the border and be launching drone strikes against the cartels daily.
El Presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador Pinche Puto Pendejo.
It is pretty clear Woodrow Wilson was trying to play kingmaker among the Mexican factions.
Wilson seems to have promised Villa support, then reneged on the promise.
Wilson is one of the worst US Presidents, ever.
Indeed. But then we have known he has had solid leftist leanings since the beginning of his political career in 1976. The influence of his international allies has not been well publicized as a convenience for all parties.
My grandfather served as a bugler for the First Arkansas Infantry during the Mexican Border War. It may have saved his life. By the time he got back and then shipped to France WWI had practically ended.
I’ve eaten at A LOT of small Mexican restaurants from California to DC. At least 50% of them have a picture of old Poncho hanging in them. He’s like general Lee to those folks …
According to Pew Research, almost 29% of all Mexican citizens were in the US as of 2021. Today, probably fully one-third. That is turning out to be a successful invasion, defended by claims of racism if anyone objects. But, maybe we can find a modern-day Eisenhower to route them out and dump them back across the border. And a modern-day Pershing to secure the northern states to prevent further incursion into the US.
Ask me if I know Pancho Villa...
“we should thank” Villa for it.***
It ended with Pershing invading Mexico. Eventually Pancho was murdered by his assassins, buried, then someone dug him up and cut off his head. Even Mexico was glad to get rid of him.
That is Pancho at the wheel. His body guard is hanging over the side.
