New York AG Letitia James is dissing Donald Trump's claim that he can't find any company willing to help him post bond on his $454 million fraud judgement, ridiculing his effort to slash the amount saying the attester he relied on lacks credibility.
Dennis Fan, a lawyer in James' office, took on Trump's contentions in a new filing, just days before a deadline where the AG has said she could seize Trump assets if he doesn't pay the judgement.
'Defendants’ new factual allegations and legal arguments fail to support their extraordinary request for a stay based on a bond or deposit of less than one-fourth of the money-judgment amount,' wrote Fan, a senior assistant solicitor general.

You saw Biden today, talking to Latin Americans about why they should vote for him the whole thing was based on putting down Trump. Nothing to do with his policies or what he did or could do to benefit them. The whole thing is based on Trump. It just makes him look so childish.

In NY courts maybe, but Trump has not filed a motion based on the 8th, so SCOTUS can't rule on that yet.

What benefit is it to the court to receive cash rather than, say, Trump Tower?
They had a good run when Giuliani was mayor, even during Bloomberg, but it’s been downhill since then
It left out that the court order forbade him from asking any NewYork bank for a loan.
Kinda makes it harder to raise the money.
Also, if I remember correctly, when he ran for President and was the President, he took himself out of his businesses, and, put them, I believe, in his kids names. so, there would not be any conflicts.
If they are still not in his name, what is she going to seize?
James will have to contend with any lien holders on the property, before, she can even think of selling them.
If she sells them, Trump knows the city will more than likely, sell the properties in a fire sale. With businesses leaving in droves, the asking prices, will be in the basement. He starts a business in another state and bids on his properties, getting them back, at rock bottom prices. That would surely piss off Latisha.
