Twelve Ukrainian pilots return, but F-16 delivery falls short

Reports from U.S. outlets surfaced earlier this March, revealing plans to ship the first six F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine by this summer. Training for twelve Ukrainian pilots, slated for completion by summer this year, is currently ongoing in the countries of Denmark, the U.S., and Great Britain.

Simultaneously, these reports highlight that of the roughly 45 fighter jets pledged by Western allies, only a fraction, six F-16s, will be delivered upon the pilots’ return to Ukraine. More so, it appears that training for the pilots at Feteşti Air Base in Romania, situated 150 kilometers east of Bucharest, has suffered delays.

“Radical brevity defines the training of these pilots, with a curriculum typically spanning several years condensed into mere months.”

They will go against thoroughly trained and battle hardened Russian pilots and one of the best, if not the best, air defense in the world. Yep, those six planes and twelve hopeless rookie pilots will win the war

Hopefully they all get hit with missiles on the ramp the day they arrive. Or as soon as the cross into rump Ukraine airspace.

That is it! This war is over. Six wunderwaffe, a whole half-dozen, single-engine fighters with no stealth capabilities will defeat everything in front of them and change the course of the war.

The F-16s are only good for delivering glide bombs and missiles from far, far away in the Ukraine Russia War. They aren’t dropping bombs on goat-rapin’, turd world savages from the 7th century in the Ukraine.

They'd best not be using NATO airfields in Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia or Poland.

The consequences would be unfortunate.

Despite this speed, the process hasn’t progressed as fast as Ukraine and its allies had optimistically anticipated. Expectedly, Soviet-era trained pilots are grappling with swift adaptations to not only Western military norms but also to proficiency in the English language — a requirement for effective F-16 operation.

Most experienced pilots transitioning to F16s admit that they were behind the airplane for the first 100 hours and they were not really up to speed til about 300

Are they old guys? In their 40s? If so, that explains a lot of things.

If the pilots are in their 20s, they should be able to speak some English.

Biden is doing a great job of training Russia on combatting all US weapons systems, slowly and one at time.

Ukraine is still using a lot of Soviet weapons.

Putin has made it crystal clear what will happen to those airfields.

F16s are designed as a less expensive air superiority fighter. While they can deliver ordnance to the ground using a targeting pod they are very vulnerable to ground fire, being single engined. In Desert Storm the F16s were held back until the choppers and other aircraft destroyed Iraqs SAM system. The same principles will apply here. If Russia has an effective SAM system the F16s will not be used except with standoff weapons. And you don’t need F16s to deliver those.

They are older fellows. Veterans with a lot of Russian jet aircraft experience.

Just give them some of ours. We won’t be needing them anyway. We’ve already been invaded.

That explains why they're having a hard time picking up English.

Exactly the F-16 usefulness, for Ukraine.

You mean the same Russians who can’t establish air superiority over Russia? The same ones? LOL!

I guess the Russians are using kites to drop those hundreds of tons of horrific FAB glide bombs. The Uke air defense head got fired last week. Notice how there haven’t been any lies the last two weeks about shooting down half the Russian Air Force? The Quislings in Kiev noticed too. They fired the head air defense spokesman today. You should apply for the job. Your FR resume of half baked phantasies and parroted lies would make Baghdad Bob blush. That’s just the talent they’re looking for. The Russians have air superiority over Russia. When did a Uke plane bomb Russia this year. Now if you’re talking about NATO cluster bombing Russian children, in the last week some missiles and artillery have gotten through. Indiscriminate bombing of civilians will not win the war. Innocent dead children only serves as a feel good story for administration cheerleaders.

We’re training them in Tucson. They have clogged up the F16 training pipeline for US pilots. We aren’t training our own pilots!
