Residents Take a Stand: Vigilante Justice Against Gang Violence (Haiti)

Suspected gang members were killed and set on fire in Haiti in an apparent act of vigilante justice, according to a report. The incident occurred in the town of Cite Soleil, which has been plagued by gang violence.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a group of men being attacked and set ablaze by a mob of residents who accused them of being gang members. The exact number of fatalities is unknown, but reports suggest that at least five people were killed.

The burned bodies were left in the streets as a warning to other gang members, according to local residents. The motive behind the attack appears to be retaliation against gangs who have terrorized the community for months.

After being killed. to be burned seems a little superfluous. I mean, at that point, it’s the least of your problems
