Queens squatters flee $1 million home after stand-off with homeowner, visit from 'vigilantes': Report

The legal homeowner recently had been arrested for unlawful eviction after trying to remove the squatters

Two of the three squatters who allegedly took over a woman’s $1 million home in New York City fled the property after recently having a tense stand-off with the property’s owner and facing "vigilantes" who tried to evict the illegal tenants, a new report details.

Adele Andaloro, 47, said her property in Flushing, Queens, had been taken over by a group of squatters while the woman tried to sell the property last month. The home had been owned by Andaloro’s parents, who had left her the house when they died.

This week, the Daily Mail reported that a pair of "vigilantes" had visited the home to confront the squatters and try to get them off the property.

"We are looking to get this guy out," one of the men, who was wearing a pro-Trump T-shirt during the ordeal, told the Daily Mail of why they were there. "I am here to talk to him. I want to see why he is here."

. Legally lease the place to someone who will help you and then have THEM move in on the squatters.

Some years ago, a bank foreclosed a farm. The former owners kept running the tenants off. The bank rented it at below market rates to a motorcycle gang, made clear that they weren't going to inspect for what crops were being grown out of sight of the road, but disclosed that they couldn't guarantee peaceful enjoyment of the property because of the former owners.

The tenants didn't complain about any problems and the bank was eventually able to sell the property.

I hear ya, and I totally agree. Thank goodness I live in Indiana, though there are spots here that I would not retire to.

Currently I'm waiting on a unit to open up at a senior apartment in West Lafayette. It's close to my daughter, and close to everything I will need. There is a VA clinic there, and a branch office of the local medical provider I use now.

I would love it, however, if I could find a small town out in a state like Nebraska or Iowa. But I'm getting too old for that kind of adventure, and Long Covid makes existence even more difficult, sooooooo.........

If you’re not home, you sure didn’t invite squatter’s in!

...my thoughts exactly, let the squatters live at all the front yard sign “BLM” and “Love Wins...” houses.

It’s by design.

Well, Andaloro is apparently a Sicilian surname.

Doing a quickie White Pages search, I found that Andaloro is a common name in northeastern Sicily. Not a good idea to pick on someone with a name like that.

Now that she has the house back, she should sell it and make a beeline to a Red State. NYC has been described as North Korea with food.

[[they can take adverse possession legally]]

I think they have to be there 0ver 30 days to move from being ‘illegal trespassers’ to adverse possessors which have to be evicted through court orders after a trial in our insane country- I think the law is that if the homeowner calls cops while the perps are there before 30 days is up, cops can evict them on the spot for trespassing, but if it can be proved they were there more than 30, then cops are prevented from doing so- at least in some states from what i read today on the issue

Just wondering if the Castle doctrine would apply when coming home and finding squatters? Asking for a friend.

[[I wonder if TIIC are aware that they are creating the perfect conditions to see vigilantism rates skyrocket.]]

Probably they are- I bet they are just itching to arrest vigilantes and throw away the keys- (while ignoring the crimes of illegals)

with the way the screwed up insane liberal concocted bleeding heart law works, the illegal squatters would likely be able to claim castle doctrine until the courts issue a vacate order to them if they were there more than a month

Just hire people to toss them out. Do it at 5 AM when they’re too sleepy to fight back.

If they call the cops from outside the home what’s going to happen? The cops aren’t going to put them back in the house. And if arrested hope for a jury trail to put an end to this George Soros crap. If the squatters try to break in after the cops have left, shoot them in self defense... Have a good lawyer. (OK, maybe shooting them needs to be a backup plan if you feel threatened.)
