James filed judgments against Trump and others in Westchester County, New York, where Trump owns a private estate in Seven Springs and the Trump National Golf Club Westchester, Friday. Turley said that James could find seizing the properties much more difficult than she thought
“These properties are partnerships, they have leveraged debt. All of that has to be unraveled,” Turley told Fox Business host Larry Kudlow. “So these aren’t just this, you know, one to one Trump versus James type of equation. So in order to seize that property, she’s going to be pulled into court, there’s going to be challenges. It’s not going to happen overnight. Everyone is celebrating this idea that she’s going to padlock Trump Tower. It’s not likely to happen, and it’s certainly not likely to remain very long.”
“The other thing is that she could be harming the value of the property that she’s trying to seize with some of these actions,” Turley continued. “I don’t think that matters to her, but it might matter to a court.”

Lots of talky talk about law stuff but the Nazi James seems to be the only one actually doing any law stuff. No one is going to stop her, we’re well past the point of reason and truth. This is how war is conducted in 2024.

As a real estate investor, myself, Trump should have called a few of his most trusted and most wealthy friends to file liens on the property. The shaved Bigfoot face would then be in subordinate position and forced to pay off those liens before taking action. She’d be put into a similar challenge that Trump is now in. As an aside, there are ways to establish corporate veils on holdings, but Trump likes to put his name on everything. He carries enormous pride and I don’t blame him.
And that partnership interest would be only 25%, for the example of Trump 25% other partners 75%.

I think the plan is to draw into question where Trump got the money and claim he is using political donations to pay his legal fine.
They want to hit him with campaign finance violations, claiming election funds are being used for private matter.
It wouldn’t be the first time either for such an attempt... the FEC tried to claim Trumps payment to Stormy Daniels was a campaign finance violation. It deadlocked with a 2-2 vote among the FEC panel.
Using debt is a poison pill for many takeovers. Glad to see Trumps stuff is very tangled. Way above James paygrade to unravel. They will need a bunch of M&A guys at top dollar. And then to devalue the property as well.
Overall my thought on this is simple:
She wants to HARM Trump anyway she can — she is absolutely blind to the trail of damage she will inflict upon herself.
Example:
James wants to seize the Westchester G & CC. OK, she takes it and it has to close for a time to restructure as there is corporation to pay staff...

A few years back, Maryland started imposing transfer and recordation taxes on transfers of interests in entities owning real estate. Bastards!
There are ways to pierce corporate veils, but that takes time and paperwork. Standard practice in situations where there is very valuable items or significant liability concerns is to make each item its own corporation. Shipping and taxis use this extensively. Carnival Cruise lines despite it's name on all those cruise ships does not own any of them, each ship is technically it's own corporation.
If I was Trump, I would have just to make life harder for anyone trying to collect on a lawsuit is to legally have most if not all of my assets in a trust, with me as the manager of said trust.

Thank you for sharing that. I suspected as much. A seasoned commercial investor like Trump would use numerous devices of leverage, thus creating diversified encumbrances. I would also suspect a man like him would also stay illiquid by keeping his cash tied up in other short term, high interest project developments.
