Unfortunately, too many parents have been deceived by the claims of leftists who make such unwarranted assumptions. The case of Chloe Cole, and others like her, is one tragic example. They used fear and guilt to persuade her parents that Chloe would likely commit suicide if they did not authorize surgical mutilation of her body to make her appear to be a man. Too late, Chloe came to understand that she had never been transsexual. She wished to remain a girl. Instead of an apology, or offers of compensation, she received scorn from LGBT advocates.

Sci Am has been junk since the mid ‘90s

That’s too bad. SA used to be a credible publication. Which, if any, has taken their place?

Scientific American has been in politicized lefty crazyland for quite a while.

I used to regularly read Scientific American, but they’re not very scientific anymore. They’ve been bitten by the leftist politics parasite, which does nothing but corrupt and destroy. And as for that email, any parent which calls its child “non-conforming” is manipulating them, because no child chooses their “sexuality” before puberty.

Ex-subscriber here. SA went Woke before the word was even known. One director was an early proponent of “Women’s Mathematics” - different, you see, from the male version of what is perhaps the most sexless topic in all of human learning. It’s mostly unreadable trash now and has been since the turn of the century. IMHO.

I canceled my Scientific American subscription many years ago for outrageous leftist bias.

SA has been a totally corrupted woke cesspool for years.

Scientific American irrevocably beclowned themselves during the pandemic and forced injections.

Right on. Political purveyors. The claim to science is just the bait. Run by a bunch of prep school kids with an agenda.

We're in the Last Days; the Days of Lot. When the fundamental existence of male / female is questioned, all logic and reason are gone.
What's left is an open rebellion against Almighty God in the streets of the world. Such things do not end well.

I spent my working career as a scientist, but I stopped subscribing to Scientific American about a decade ago. I still get Science.
