They said similar stuff about the boomers. Most of us turned out alright. They’re really gonna miss us soon.


I’m a late stage Boomer myself. Most people today have no memory of how much trouble/angst Hippies caused back in the day. By the time I came of age, the Hippie movement had mostly faded, but it was still a very active topic of conversation until 1990 or so. That is when people started wringing their hands about he Gen Xers.

The Xers and (most) Millenials were tame compared to the Hippies. The Woksters (of every generation) may be better groomed than the Hippies, but they are a lot more toxic.

A lot of the hippies got their minds right too. Hippies turning into Wall Street sharks was a thing in the’80s.

Most boomers did the right thing, went to work or reported for service when drafted. It was a loudmouthed minority that got all the attention. Hence t6he stereotype.
