Left-wing ABC News host Jonathan Karl found himself completely humiliated Sunday morning by a fully prepared Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) after his ambush questions on President Trump completely backfired.
During an interview on ABC’s This Week, Karl attempted to pressure Rubio into saying negative things about Trump throughout the interrogation. He started by asking about reports regarding Rubio being under consideration as Trump’s running mate and said he was surprised the Florida senator was open to the possibility.
Rubio calmly responded that anyone should be honored when presented with an opportunity to serve America, and being VP is one way to do this. He also pointed out that he has yet to talk to Trump, and Trump has plenty of great options for the VP position.
Karl then brought up January 6 and again attempted to portray serving as VP under Trump as a fool’s errand. But Rubio turned the tables with a brilliant defense of Trump’s accomplishments and destroyed Joe Biden’s failures, particularly on foreign policy.

I dont fully trust anyone in the Senate, period. This performance could very well be him trying to impress Trump because they heard his name was floated and they think defending Trump could play well to his ego and thus sneak in a spy. To be fair I don’t know exactly how Rubio was acting and talking on Jan 7th. All that being said, to the extent that the RINO wing of the party needs to be on board to lock in places like Az, GA and the greater “moderate” wing of the party I think Rubio may very well be among the best choices Trump could make. I don’t think he’d hurt the push to go after the so called Hispanic vote either (although that is an added benefit and not at all the reason).
Ill say this, I would absolutely support Rubio and Senate Leader of the Repukes.
Karl just isn’t smart enough to figure things out, or if he is he plays the liberal game and won’t admit it.
It’s been a while since I’ve heard Marco. He came across very well in that interview.
Agree. We’ve got people that bash him here because he once ran against Trump. Rubio was bashed by Trump but he got over it. He’s hasn’t been a NeverTrumper. He’s pretty much been on board with all of Trump’s policies.
Not saying he should be the VP pick but he’s been very conservative and supportive of Trump over the last 7-8 years.

How many lies can you fit into a 2 minute segment? Karl was going for the record! Rubio countered most of them but he missed one at the start, namely Trump supposedly defending chants “Hang Mike Pence” from protestors. Also, did anyone notice Pravda’s, cough, cough, I mean ABC’s stream at the bottom of the screen saying “Trump: Jewish Democrats Should Be Ashamed of Themselves”. Talk about an inflammatory headline taken out of context.
It’s no wonder the enemedia is so dumbfounded by Trump’s rising poll numbers. I think “journalists” like Karl, have genuinely started believing their own lies. They’ve brain-washed themselves.
He can’t. He doesn’t qualify. Sorry.
