Inner Harbor is beautiful……..and quite frankly uncomfortable now to say the least. Two blocks off of the Inner Harbor is nearly a nogo zone.

Yeah, that’s the ticket. Loss of propulsion and rudder control definitely the safest option in a case like this.

That's how I remember it. I made the rookie mistake of booking a hotel that was about six blocks up the hill. It was a great hotel but the walks back and forth were perilous. I'm still convinced I might have witnessed a rape, looking down one of the dark back alleys.

My wife just asked, “Why would the government lie about the cause?”

Because if people knew how incompetent they were, and how vulnerable we are, there would be panic and consequences.

For all the money they spend - and they spend a lot - they cannot protect us against all of the bad actors. I have it on good authority that this administration is actually over confident in it’s ability to stop terrorists before they act.

Two teams are feverishly investigating what the ramifications are — FBI and ISIS/HAMAS. Considering the importance of the port of Baltimore to he USA, the EU will certainly study what a similar accident would do to the port of Rotterdam.

They would have located Trump on the ship’s bridge drunk and out of uniform with some scantily clothed girl.

I remember visiting the Constellation in the Baltimore harbor when I was a kid about seventy-five or eighty years ago. I was impressed.

That bridge collapse was the first thing I thought of. Fortunately there appear to have been far less people/vehicles on the Bay Bridge as were on the Silver Bridge.

It used to be that all ships entering port were accompanied by at least one tugboat.

Somebody saved money.
