I found the NYC metro area drivers use their turn signals even if they drive like Mario Andretti. I love driving in Manhattan - it’s better than the bumper cars.
In contrast, I could strangle anyone who pulls into traffic to make a left-hand turn, which seems to happen EVERY TIME I drive around Boston on business.
Don’t get me started on rotaries. Though jug handles in NJ are equally maddening.
However, I’m sure I get cursed out for my Philadelphian-like “I’m at a traffic light turning left, so I’m gonna floor it as soon as I get the green” driving.
You’re supposed to pull past the stop line to make a left turn.
I routinely do that, and if there hasn’t been a gap in traffic for me to make a left turn before the light changes, well, I complete my left turn as traffic is stopping for the red, since I have the right of way to do so.
The people who wait safely behind the stop line while waiting for a gap in traffic are the ones I’d like to strangle.
