No doubt they enabled it, but we made it happen. How? By choosing the short term benefits of saving a few pennies on communist made paint brushes over the long term benefits of buying American and keeping our manufacturing, technology, money, and tax base here.
We had a choice. The companies outsourced because we chose the cheaper products. If we had bought made in USA, the companies that used American labor would have made the profits. However, we chose price, and the companies had no choice but to off shore to compete.
I say we because many Freepers at the time supported those trade deals.
And after all of that, where are those cheaper prices we were promised?
