I don't care about that racist douchecanoe mayor of Baltimore. I just assumed outright he is a DEI, Affirmative Action hire due to his track record of performance.

I posted this yesterday about The Commissioner of The Port, who I am more concerned about:

You would think in all of that, a Port Commissioner might have some professional involvement in the International Longshoreman's Association, experience piloting or navigating cargo vessels, the processes involved in loading or unloading cargo, shipping processes and procedures, etc.

But no.

Her "credentials" include:
Founder and CEO of Professional Development Associates, LLC, a consulting firm that provides leadership and workforce training, coaching, and human resources consulting services. The firm conducts diversity, equity, and inclusion audits and consulting, which highlights Ms. Barber's commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Graduate of Leadership Maryland and Coach University.

Notice the PRIME credential she puts at the very top.

Very good for The Democrat party, the removal of various monuments and such in Baltimore, but not so good for running a port, or driving over roads or bridges that run through areas this talentless DEI/Affirmative Action hack is responsible for.

Whoa…. No real management experience, no industry specific skills, no international trade knowledge…. Hell, she doesn’t even have a Coast Guard boater’s safety card.

Her appointment to this role should embarrass her. Clearly SOMETHING other than qualifications got her the job. She knows this, but probably feels entitled to the job.
