Our warm-up starts tomorrow and the weekend is supposed to be gorgeous. It’ll be a work weekend. I reeeeeeally need to begin mowing and the grass alongside my loooooong driveway will be first. That’s visible from the road, where the houses are set far enough back that you can’t see how shaggy the yards are.

Looking at the radar now shows the front hasn’t moved much at all the past 24 hours. Just kinda sittin’ there.
As long as it doesn't circle around back on us.

Glad you’ve had a good week.
Sounds like we have the same plans for Saturday. The grass here is very long and thick already. Champ’s about to get a workout after a nice winter break.

Heck, it’s gotta move out before it can think about circling back. LOL There’s a huge high sitting over the middle of the Atlantic and that’s holding things up for now.

We’re expecting nasty weather with another front next Tuesday. I don’t know if that front will affect you or not.

Badass 101-Year-Old P-38 Pilot’s Amazing Stories of the Air War Over Europe

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ng0hPejhBl8

Jim Kunkle, a veteran of World War II who flew close air support and escort missions as the allies advanced east after D-Day, describes what it was like to fly the legendary P-38 Lightning in combat. He also details the fateful mission where he shot down a Luftwaffe FW-190 before getting shot down himself.

Check comments below the video:

“At 102, Jim is sharper than some 80 year olds.”

Good evening, beachy...

I am daring to think that spring might really be coming without a major last snowfall. I’m ready!!

We even had a bit of rain yesterday. A bunch more would be nice, but for now, I am happy for the little we got. And the plow came yesterday to scrape some of the slush and rotting ice off our stree with his blade.

I’ve decided I like a bus having to come pick up some kid, or kids, on the block. We got plowed all winter. What a nice change. LOL!

Are your travels affected at all by the bridge going down?

Howdy, Kathy.

Shocker! I saw SUNSHINE up there today! LOL I’ll bet all of you were happy to see that after all the dreary days you’ve had.

Hey there, radu!

Hope you had a warmer day today. Ours sure was, but not terrible. Hubby found it almost comfy when he mowed our weeds. 🤣

Howdy, luvie.

How goes it down your way?
Still a bit chilly here. One more cold night, then we get some springtime for a few days.

Jesus, Our Substitute

Bible in a Year :

Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.

1 Peter 3:18

A wealthy twenty-year-old was drag-racing with his friends when he struck and killed a pedestrian. Although the young man received a three-year prison sentence, some believe that the man who appeared in court (and who subsequently served a prison sentence) was a hired surrogate for the driver who committed the crime. This type of thing has been known to occur in some countries where people hire body doubles to avoid paying for their crimes.

This may sound scandalous and outrageous, but more than two thousand years ago, Jesus became our substitute and “suffered once for [our] sins, the righteous for the unrighteous” (1 Peter 3:18). As God’s sinless sacrifice, Christ suffered and died once and for all (Hebrews 10:10), for all who believe in Him. He took the penalty for all our sins in His own body on the cross. Unlike a person today who chooses to be a substitute for a criminal to get some cash, Christ’s substitutionary death on the cross provided “hope” for us as He freely, willingly gave His life for us (1 Peter 3:15, 18; John 10:15). He did so to bridge the chasm between us and God.

May we rejoice and find comfort and confidence in this profound truth: Only by the substitutionary death of Jesus can we—sinners in need—have a relationship with and complete spiritual access to our loving God. .

Reflect & Pray

How has Christ’s substitutionary death changed your life? What does it mean for you to have access to God and eternal life because of Jesus' death on the cross?

Dear Jesus, thank You for dying in my place so that I might have access to God.

Learn more about having a personal relationship with God.
