Just like Trump, Cleveland survived an election-year sex scandal, in his case an out-of-wedlock child rather than the Access Hollywood tape (times were simpler then). Just like Trump, he rocked to the top because voters were frustrated with corruption in both major parties. Just like Trump, his foreign policy emphasized noninterventionism, while his domestic policy emphasized a limited federal government and lower taxes (yes, Democrats were the low-tax party at one time).
I believe all the pieces are in place for Donald Trump to repeat Cleveland’s feat. The determination is there, and the feeble incumbent is there. But the most important fact is this one: In a rematch like this one, voters don’t have to speculate about whether the challenger might do better as president. Instead, they can just make a direct comparison. So how does that look?

Sorry that Rep. Payne passed away but this is gaslighting at its finest.
Payne’s office originally attempted to depict the heart attack as non-life-threatening. “Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. suffered a cardiac episode based on complications from his diabetes during the weekend,” said a statement released by the office, which was attributed to Payne. “He was admitted to a local hospital for treatment. Currently, he is recovering in the hospital as doctors conduct routine exams to monitor and observe his improvement. The Congressman’s prognosis is good and he is expected to make a full recovery.” Payne’s office originally estimated his hospital stay would last about a week.
After Payne failed to return to Capitol Hill, Politico reporter Matt Friedman commented on the rep’s prolonged absence.

HAPPENING NOW: Mass chaos breaks out at college campuses across the United States as pro-Palestine protests intensify.
Columbia, Harvard, USC, University of Texas at Austin and others are getting swarmed by protesters.
Police at USC are taking out their batons as the protesters are turning violent.
Texas state troopers have been deployed and reportedly made dozens of arrests at the University of Texas at Austin.
Harvard Yard has also been taken over by pro-Palestine protesters who are setting up camp after the university threatened to take action.

If Johnson doesn’t visit Trump while he is in NYC, I will have one more thing not to like him for.
Take a deep breath through your nose, hold for 4 sec., and blow out through your mouth, repeat a few times.
That always helps me to calm down, relax.
