President Biden will travel to Baltimore on Friday to visit the site of the collapsed Francis Scott Key Bridge, the White House announced Monday.
“We are with you Baltimore, and we will be there to get this done,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said when making the announcement.
Biden himself had vowed to visit Baltimore, saying on Friday he would visit alongside Maryland Gov. Wes Moore (D). Hours after the collapse early Tuesday morning, Biden said he planned to go to the site “as quickly as” he can.
Jean-Pierre said Biden is continuing to lead a “whole of government” approach to respond to the collapse, which killed six people and has temporality closed one of the country’s busiest ports. She said Biden has been working with Moore to get the port reopened and the bridge rebuilt.

He’ll stop on his way to Delaware for a much needed vacation.
He practically goes right by it on his way to Delaware every weekend. Stopping in Baltimore might screw up nap time though.
Perhaps he will show us the railroad tracks on the Key Bridge ...
You know, from when he rode the train over it between Delaware and DC.
What some clever one should do is create the bridge with a train running along and Biden waving!!
Maybe he can use his lifeguard skills to try and rescue those 4 missing workers? And when he resurfaces everyone can gather around and stroke his blonde leg hairs.

White house staff needs to make sure they have an ice cream truck staioned near by the ruined bridge so China Joe wil have a real reason to be there.
