Same could be said of Ukraine, though. And Putin has actually made threats directed at Europe. I take him at his word.
But you are right. Russia has 20% of the worlds resources and 1.8% of the worlds people. They have no business invading their neighbors. The reason they do so, obviously, is that they want to deprive the west of access to resources.
