True enough. We had an attempted coup of the 2016 election and a successful coup of the 2020 election. There have been no consequences or accountability for this subversion of our Republic. Our institutions have been compromised.

Maybe, but future history books written for all our public schools by Bill Ayers (former Underground Weatherman) will record that both the 2016 and 202 coups were orchestrated by Russia-backed DJ Trump, but were largely diffused with close monitoring of our collective thoughts, words and deeds by the IC, Deep State, with a big assist from the FISA court with which Schumer seeks to replace the “feckless” US Supreme Court. /s

Biden wins.

IDF withdraws all troops from southern Gaza--Only one brigade remains in the Strip; terrorists in Khan Yunis fire rocket barrage at Israeli towns. Invasion of Rafah placed on indefinite hold.

(April 7, 2024 / JNS)

The Israel Defense Forces has withdrawn all ground troops from the southern Gaza Strip, with only one brigade remaining in the coastal enclave, according to reports on Sunday.

This comes after four months of fighting in the former Hamas stronghold of Khan Yunis and six months since the start of the war.

According to IDF sources on Sunday, the IDF’s 98th Division has concluded its mission in Khan Yunis. The division left the Gaza Strip to recuperate and prepare for future operations. A significant force led by the 162nd Division and the division’s Nahal Brigade continues to operate in the Gaza Strip, and will preserve the IDF’s freedom of action and its ability to conduct precise intelligence-based operations, the sources said.

The move also comes after last week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu once again reiterated that the IDF would defeat Hamas by entering the last terrorist stronghold of Rafah, south of Khan Yunis.

“There is no victory without entering Rafah; there is no victory without destroying the Hamas battalions there,” said Netanyahu in a primetime address, adding that the operation “will take time, but it will happen.”

The premier once again said that only a combination of military pressure and tough negotiations would bring about the release of the remaining 133 hostages taken to Gaza by Palestinian terrorists on Oct. 7.

Meanwhile, early on Sunday afternoon, red alert warning sirens sounded across parts of southern Israel as Hamas fired a rocket barrage at Israeli towns east of Khan Yunis.

Terrorists in Khan Yunis fired four rockets towards towns in Israel’s Eshkol region, hours after the IDF withdrew from the Gazan city. The Iron Dome aerial defense system intercepted two of the rockets.

According to the reports on Sunday, the last brigade remaining in the Strip is the Nahal infantry unit, which is there to secure the Netzarim Corridor that splits the Gazan north and south, enabling the IDF to control movements in the Strip. It crosses the Strip from the Be’eri area in southern Israel to the Mediterranean coast.

The Netzarim Corridor prevents Gazans from returning to the north of the Strip and allows for humanitarian aid to enter directly into northern Gaza.

Four Israel Defense Forces commandoes were killed in action in southern Gaza on Saturday, the IDF announced on Sunday. Terrorists emerged from a tunnel in Khan Yunis and ambushed the soldiers at close range, the army said.

The attack raised the military’s death toll to 604 on all fronts since the war started. Their deaths bring the number of soldiers slain since the start of Israeli ground operations in Gaza on Oct. 27 to 260. Comment: Heavy losses when compared to the total population of Israel (9 million). Extrapolated using the US as a comparison, this would translate as a loss of almost 10,000 personnel in the Gaza operation alone.

Highlighting that Israeli forces were active in Khan Yunis until just before their withdrawal, the IDF said on Sunday that soldiers were operating over the past 24 hours in the Al-Amal neighborhood, finding weapons, killing terrorists and dismantling terrorist infrastructure.

Premier League fans know more than me, but it appears today’s matches are not quite of Super Bowl, or World Series status.....playoff quality, I’m guessing

1. EPL - NO play-offs , every game counts - no "PARTICIPATION" trophies A.K.A. play-offs.

2. Most EPL games - not all - have the intensity of a playoff - (March Madness) and many have 90 min of real effort / hustle at the PROP level where the player's salary on average is very high for some platers and not so for the majority.

Level of intensity is why the game is so interesting almost every weekend. 38 games/season - no play-offs - One winner

2 paper plates with a hole in one should allow one to adjust size of the projected image and perhaps get a better look.

And the race this year in the EPL will go down to the wire. Liverpool, Arsenal, and Man City are virtually tied. Every result can alter the standings. In the many years following the EPL, Liverpool is my team, I can't remember a three-way race this late in the season 31 games in.

A Liverpool win today keeps them top of the table by two points. A loss puts them one behind and tied with MC. A tie puts Liverpool in a tie with Arsenal atop the table. Go Reds.

I have tickets for the exhibition match in Columbia SC between Liverpool and Man U on Aug 3.

Unbelievable. Goal by MU after a bad pass. What a mistake 1-1 now,

MU knocked out Liverpool from the FA cup coming back twice after Liverpool leads.

you've confirmed my point. It's an "important" and intense EPL match. (equating playoff intensity), but it's not a final that is important enough to pre-empt

--America's longest running (with implications as being America's most important) television show.
--NBC's "flagship" program. (HA!).
--On their most watched platform (broadcast) vs. any number of NBC owned cable/sports channels.

Today, in fact, most featured teams are mid-pack. This is not to denigrate the EPL, but rather NBC News. It does not bode well for them.

1. There are NO FINALS, every gave counts - in this case a THREE WAY race with NINE games to go

As for Commie propaganda - no, this is not a loss unless you feel the need to be indoctrinated and/or insulted

Would you watch if the match was on cable, or streaming ? Of course, you and many others would.

Does its importance justify pre-emption of NBC’s flagship news program ?

It does if your “flagship” news program is chit.

My perspective —for the sake of argument—is of NBC’s. They apparently don’t think much of their flagship.

In fact, if I’m new host Kristen Welker—hoping to build or maintain an audience as an important news program, I’d be pissed....and worried about my gig.

Come to think of it, the Ronna McDaniel in/out episode prompted calls for any R newsmakers to refuse to appear on NBC.

Is it possible they couldn’t book any R guests ? Not likely this week with few Rs of import in the headlines, but we may be seeing the beginning of the end for NBC News, imho.

Wow! That was one heck of a tale, so dang well told! You do have a way with words. And thanks for telling that the pooch was OK early on ... it would have been a sweet finish, but too much distress first.

I don’t like bridges and stare straight ahead when I have to travel over a big one.

A resounding yes. It isn't a "news" program. It is propaganda.

Liverpool ties it up. 2-2. Five minutes to go in regulation time.
