Ron DeSantis isn’t committing to running for President again in 2028. At least not publicly.

The Governor told Fox News Channel viewers that he didn’t “have any plans for the future” when asked about a future run by Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures.

The comments are interesting in light of those being his first public remarks since a reported conclave with donors and supporters in South Florida,

You have a bigger problem than Biden and the liberal democrats. You guys need to do something about your Uni Party Rinos. What does it matter beating the dems when these corrupt politicians from the GOP are ready, willing and already in DC to do the dirty work.

And those bans will arrive on Trumps desk pushed through by Uni Party Rinos! Your party has a bigger issue than an ongoing fight between Trump and DeSantis supporters. Instead of infighting over preferential candidates or holding onto this Trump is -insert current nefarious theory here - tactic, you guys had better open your eyes and start fixing the Rino problems in your own party! cause when they get to DC, they do far more REAL damage than ANY theory you put forth about Trump.

What these individuals, and they seem to be a minority, are refusing to face is the real problem. And it isn’t Trump. It isn’t Ron DeSantis. The real problem that the GOP faces is its Rinos. Once they get to DC they become Uni Party and do immense damage to the country. And this isn’t an opinion. Its factual from the actions of John McCain to Mitch Mcconnell. But its easier and more psychological soothing to ignore this and focus on Trump is bad, Ron is good.

I live in southern Florida. The mood I’m seeing is that Ron DeSantis has been a good governor but stabbed Trump in the back. This plus love for Trump lost him a lot of support here. Actually Trump was preferred to begin with where I’m at, but since the primary the Gulf has widened considerably. Its doubtful the Gov can rehab his image at least in this area of the state. He may. He’s certainly giving it all he has to do just that.

Well written and well expressed. It pinpoint s the real issue we have as a country. And that issue isn’t stupid infighting over Ron DeSantis or Donald Trump.

DeSantis’ entire campaign strategy rested on the hope that the Democrats would be successful in convicting President Trump for ‘insurrection’ or some other bogus charge - and thus clear a path for DeSantis to win in 2024.

It’s the Democrats who - since 2016 - have waged an ongoing insurrection against a duly elected Republican administration. Two fake impeachments, a stolen presidential election, the Jan 6 false flag operation to frame innocent MAGA protesters, and an endless string of bogus indictments against a Republican President and anyone who tried to resist it or expose it.

Instead of resisting or exposing the Democrat plot against President Trump and MAGA, DeSantis and the other cowardly Republican candidates welcomed it, because they too wanted Trump out of the way for their own political advantages.

When has DeSantis ever expressed outrage over the stolen 2020 election? He refused to publicly acknowledge it was stolen, because that would undermine the Democrats’ false narrative (that Trump committed insurrection on Jan 6) and DeSantis was depending on that narrative - he was depending on the Democrat lawfare to eliminate Trump.

You guys are all going to get back in line and support him in 2028 if Trump endorses him.

Blah blah blah, Meatball, blah blah primary...

I fail to see how Florida giving people a semblance of normalcy in 2020 is a bad thing, nor do I see how his great work on the state level is a bad thing. I’m a DeSantis fan. You’re going to have to deal with us since we’re not going anywhere.

Thank you for expressing my exact sentiments. in 1992 I made a decision to not vote for a RINO, and I haven't voted for one since. The lesser of two evils is still evil, not to mention it's far easier to toss a D out of office in a Red district than it is to toss a RINO. Any help we offer RINOs will come back to the voting public as a dagger in the back.

No not really. DeSantis’s campaign was frustration that Trump didn’t deliver.

-No pardon for J6, Assange, Snowden
-Fauci
-No mass deportations
-Brought Lindsey Graham and John Bolton into his inner circle
-Any constructive criticism dismissed as “TRUST THE PLAN LOL, Q WILL SAVE US”
-Terrible endorsements like Dr. Oz
-We should have completely ran the tables in 2022 in the midterms but we had NO campaign message aside from 24/7 Trump drama that people have tuned out

I’ll give Trump this: corporate tax cuts (great for small businesses), judges, and no new wars was great. I’ll give him that. But there was a lot left on the table.

Either you believe the 2020 election was stolen or you don’t - I’m guessing you don’t.

Because if you believed it was stolen as I do, you would be outraged by it, and you would want a political leader who shared that outrage, and who was determined to set the record straight.

And it’s not about proving who is right and who is wrong - it’s about whether we can be a self-governing Republic if we can be wholesale deceived on a matter as profound as who was the rightful winner of a presidential election! If a Presidential election can stolen, and the American people can be gaslighted into believing it was not stolen - there is no self-governing Republic - all other policy issues are moot.

This business of deceiving the American people on level far beyond Orwellian needs to be dealt with first and President Trump is the only leader I see who is tirelessly confronting it head on.

Look, I really liked DeSantis a lot as Governor of Florida, but he won’t even acknowledge publicly that the 2020 election was stolen. WTF?

Why am I not surprised that backpacker_c wrote this and that it is Breaking News?

DeSantis said exactly what he needed for the moment and what every politician says, "No plans at the moment."

Big deal, is that breaking news?

These current DeSantis haters fail to realize that if Trump wins, and that is an if with the continued drama, insults, and namecalling that doesn’t grow the base, on day one he is a lame duck. Over the next 1,460 days he’ll be a lame duck. The 2028 campaign immediately starts, whether announced or not, it always does. And likely Trump may endorse DeSantis and like good disciples, they’ll step in line and like everyone to pretend they always supported him.
