As a longtime fan of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, I’ve seen the man chokeslammed, Stone Cold Stunned, Pedigreed, Mandible Clawed and more. And yet he never looked weaker to me than he did the other day on Fox News, which saw him tap-dancing and, in a way, turning against some of his biggest fans.
Johnson made a bit of news in an interview that aired Friday on Fox News, in which he announced that he won’t be endorsing a presidential candidate this year — saying he had realized that his 2020 endorsement of Joe Biden had “caused an incredible amount of division in our country.”
He also decried “cancel culture” and “woke culture,” saying:
That really bugs me. And in the spirit of that, you either succumb and be what you think other people want you to be, or you go: ‘No, that’s not who I am. I’m going to be myself, and I’m going to be real.’ If you ask me something, a real answer is important, and the truthful answer is important, and that may get people upset, it may p--- people off, and that’s OK.
None of us should be surprised about the endorsement stuff. Johnson has long tried to play both sides of the fence when it comes to U.S. politics. And in January, he became a board member of TKO Group Holdings, the company that owns World Wrestling Entertainment and the Ultimate Fighting Championship — two Trump-friendly organizations.

um, excuse me, Mr. Jones while it is true that Dana White and Linda McMahon are Trump friendly....it is also true that the CEO of the holding company, Ari Emanuel, is a huge D and Rahm’s brother.
TKO/UFC/WWE cannot be classified as overly Trump friendly - or Trump hating. Which is what it should be. Every board member/exec should have the freedom to do their conscience, and it should be understood that this country allows that.
So if Mr. Jones doesn’t like TKO board member Rock unendorsing Biden, he should take it up with Rahm Emanuel.
I don’t think so. I think the Rock will not endorse biden, and that will hold through November. Either 1) he’s an opportunist (fine) or 2) he actually has lost confidence in biden (also fine).
But he’s Hollywood’s biggest star. And now he’s right in the middle of all things WWE (and doing awesome) and he also bought that football team from Titan Sports. He understands that many many Americans despise biden.
I think he’s done with biden.
I also think that some of his Rock persona rings true. He’s not gonna be pushed around, not by oprah or anyone else.
(But....we shall see...).
Sounds like he's pissed Johnson didn't publicly support Biden again. But then again, he's just a writer whose only fan club is the left.
I doubt anyone determines their vote based on a celebrity's endorsement anyway.
Johnson is a multi-millionaire businessman and realizes he made a mistake in 2020. I appreciate the fact that he has chosen to keep his voting preference to himself and not endorse anyone.
