Hamas has told negotiators it does not have 40 Israeli hostages that it can release as part of a temporary cease-fire deal with Israel, a source familiar with the talks confirmed to The Hill.
The admission raises questions over how many of the remaining hostages kidnapped Oct. 7 are alive and who is holding them. Israel says 129 hostages out of more than 240 abducted that day — mostly Israelis and dual nationals — have yet to be released.
The Biden administration is pushing a plan to have Israel and Hamas agree to a six to eight week cease-fire that is contingent on Hamas releasing hostages, a group that includes older men, civilians and both male and female Israeli soldiers who have been held for 187 days.

War crimes! I wouldn’t be going there if I were Bibi guy. What the hell, cease fire? Hamas has barely been touched. The deeper tunnels where Hamas is have not been attacked. Once Hamas realized how Bibi’s “Where’s Daddy” worked, they stayed away from their families.
Bibi, comatose asleep at the wheel, is responsible for everything post 10/SIX. Now, Bibi, tail between his legs, flees the losing battle against Hamas. Hamas will soon fire up their scooters and hang gliders and kick the IDF’s ass again.

Why is it disingenuous? It’s a perfectly apt comparison.
Israel didn’t start this war. Hamas did. Gazans voted over 80% for Hamas. A recent poll of them showed over 90% support for the atrocities they committed on 10/7.

And why aren’t any of their Arab brothers offering to take any refugees? How many have the Saudis or the Jordanians or the Qataris accepted?

They're not going to kill them, Lurker, because they would lose even more credibility and respect than they already are. They'll just ask the West to take them in, like they do with all of the other Middle Eastern nations that get bombed. Also there's a large Christian population in Gaza.

They don't need to. The Muslim World's main goal is destabilizing and taking over the West. That's why there's thousands of Muslims and Africans pouring into Europe, Canada, and the U.S. weekly. But you know what's puzzling? ISIS and Al-Quada never attacks Israel for some reason. Pretty cool, right? Hamas does, but you need to remember that Hamas was originally created by Israel to stop the PLO because Israel doesn't want a 2 state solution.

Well, actually it is, because most Gaza residents aren't bloodthirsty terrorists. They're just being exploited by Hamas (who mainly resides in Lebanon)...so Israel can continue to use them as a pretext for self-defense and take over the land.
