Hamas has told negotiators it does not have 40 Israeli hostages that it can release as part of a temporary cease-fire deal with Israel, a source familiar with the talks confirmed to The Hill.
The admission raises questions over how many of the remaining hostages kidnapped Oct. 7 are alive and who is holding them. Israel says 129 hostages out of more than 240 abducted that day — mostly Israelis and dual nationals — have yet to be released.
The Biden administration is pushing a plan to have Israel and Hamas agree to a six to eight week cease-fire that is contingent on Hamas releasing hostages, a group that includes older men, civilians and both male and female Israeli soldiers who have been held for 187 days.

“But they’re coming HERE to Western nations, that’s the thing that you BOMB GAZA INTO GLASS cheerleaders don’t comprehend.”
They can’t come here if they’re all dead.

Just watched Carl Higbie's guest - General Blaine Holt - share the news that Iran has just grounded all civilian aircraft in the country.
Say your prayers, folks.......
You’re right. The other 5% just support everything they do.
What you suggest would be a positive outcome of a very nasty affair.
Netanyahu never fails to disappoint.
Moral midget.
No, you’re wrong. Netanyahu has no morals, not even midget ones. When are you going to join his army?
It's a good idea to call them out -- either they don't have any authority over the various criminal gangs that make up Hamas and every other part of the PLO, in which case negotiations are pointless and NOT in good faith, orrrr, they need to produce them toot sweet, orrrr, they all get leveled and booted from Gaza. Having no authority means they are living high on the hog from stolen aid and whatnot without actually being in charge of anything.
WSJ noted that US officials familiar with intelligence have said that according to some US estimates, most of the hostages are already dead. Of those, it is likely that most died of injuries from their initial capture, while others died of health issues or from violence. Still others were already dead when their bodies were taken hostage by Gaza terrorists.

I’m for just leveling them and booting them (i.e., Hamas) out of Gaza straight to jail, and the gallows in the ripeness of time. And let them be a cautionary tale for anyone who tries pulling anything similar in the future. If there are hostages still living, we’ll find them, hopefully in time. If not, well, it’ll be all the more worthwhile to hang them.
