As soon as those words were out of her mouth, the reporter should have asked were we wrong when we dropped bombs on densely populated German and Japanese civilian areas?

Many decades ago I read a short story that foresaw a future where Communism/leftism prevailed and Truman was put on trial for the ‘war crime’ of the atomic bombing Japan. Short stories from the 60s have become the reality I find myself living in.

A few years back there was an alternative universe sci-fi novel where the Nazis won WWII, and America was under totalitarian rule.

It became decadent, immoral, irreligious, rampant crime and totally corrupt.
