House passes FISA reauthorization bill after previous GOP setback
ABC News ^

In a 273 to 147 vote, lawmakers renewed Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which is set to expire on April 19, through 2026. It now heads to the Senate.

Section 702 allows the U.S. government to collect electronic communications of non-Americans located outside the country without a warrant. It came under scrutiny among some lawmakers on both sides of the aisle and civil liberties groups because it sometimes results in the collection of data on Americans who are in contact with those surveilled individuals.

Anything is going to have to be by executive order. No changes in law will pass with the UniPArty.

And then there is Five Eyes, and the data exchanges they do.

There is less than zero chance of any change from Poilievre or Starmer, so Canada and the UK (and Australia) will always be the backup for political spying.

Non-Americans overseas?... like Carter Page (A USNA Graduate former Naval Officer and Intel contractor for the very same aholes who set him up to be surveilled by a 5 eyes partner- remember? The UK “partner” shares the spying info on a US Citizen who was guilty of not one g-d damned thing, doing his job inside Russia. See how that works?)

They will spy on anyone they want by employing FOREIGN services INSIDE THE USA tracking US Citizens WITHOUT a Warrant... not even one from a so called FISA court. Thanks, Bill (Ukrainian fraud Converso)Barr! You da man for the cocaine mafia!

“Sometimes results in Americans in contact with these being surveilled overseas” SOMETIMES? Any damn time they can make a call to a pal in the club to do so— that’s how— and without a warrant, working for a political ANIMALI party of self serving non- Constitutional actors, answerable to NO ONE! Not the US Citizenry or even the SCOTUS Chief Justice who signs off on the BS— he being compromised to do SO!

What utter crap and dishonesty. We know who to spy on— so go do THAT. We get attacked now with FISA in place and you have some SERIOUS Explaining to do on your way to execution for TREASON!

This is the one issue, on which we and the far left Congressmen have strongly agreed on. My Dem Congresswoman voted against it.

You never know where or when a Republican presidential candidate might need to be spied upon. I wouldn’t be surprised if RFK Jr. is also being spied upon because of his high treason of running against Biden. And if that’s all the federal intelligence services do to a Kennedy he should count himself very fortunate.

Don’t believe it.

These guys talk a good game, but will vote with the UniParty if their vote was needed to pass.

This is how the Hillary campaign and their friends at the FBI “ nudged” Trump associates into being spied on, by setting up foreign contacts

Or…you get the Russian Ambassador to the US to just drop by and visit Jeff Sessions…or to call Mike Flynn….putting them in the spying program and “compromising” their ability to serve as Trump advisors and cabinet members.

I am sick of it. We need to storm the freaking DC swamp exactly like those Muslims did in the hall of Congress! Sick of it because this opens the door for conservatives to go to prison or be executed. I hate those bastards!!!!!Hate them!!!!I notice how they passed the bill very quietly before Johnson and Trump met!

Is there a vote recorded on that amendment- a simple requireement regarding American citizens either in or out of the country. So that a foreign partner (possibly compromised themselves, btw) cannot surveill a US Citizen at the behest of US intel just making a call— WITHOUT a warrant FROM the US Agencies— as a matter of record of responsibility for the assignment to the foreign intel. Does the UK have the US permission to spy on Americans within the US- whether or not with US approval, and NO warrant- for example. Or Aussies or any of the 5 eyes— because this Amendment would have required it of ANY “ask” of a foreign intel to do this— in the US or anywhere else. And, uh not just 5 eye “supposed” partners— who definitely cannot be trusted. So tiring.

Something wrong with that? Since apparently foreign spy orgs spied not only on Trump but MANY other US citizens while INSIDE the USA. For Trump see the Trump Tower “alpha bank” bullcrap tracking that had nothing to do with anything they were claiming. Easy pile on. Don’t give a crap about some foreigner we spy on in their country THAT is what seeing eye ehhhhs are supposed to do. We are really talking about NSA No such agency—worldwide sat listening— definitely mass collected such that they cannot sort out who is what or who is who. Brilliant stupid algorithms which do not protect the US.
Proven. See: Binney.

As H->! famously once said:

“I’m sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and disagree with this administration, somehow you’re not patriotic. ....”

I am totally sick and tired.
