Israel shooting down “99 per cent” of the missiles and drones sent by Iran over the weekend shows what it possible when a nation has the full support of its allies, Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky said as Kyiv pleads for Israel-like air defence from its Western supporters.
Iran launched a massive barrage of over 300 missiles and drones against Israel on Sunday, very nearly all of which were shot down by Israel’s indigenous air-defence systems, along with support from allies including the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Kingdom of Jordan. Ukraine has been quick to point out the similarities in its own position — noting even the Iranian-designed Shahed drones launched at Israel are the same type Russia launches at its cities daily — and call for additional support.

The White House is set to approve an $18 billion arms sale to Israel including several dozen F-15 fighter planes. It would be the biggest arms sale by Washington to Tel Aviv since the start of Israel’s war against Hamas on October 7. The sale has been under consideration since the United States received a formal request in January 2023.
Speeding up the delivery was among the main requests from Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant when he visited Washington last week. Gallant held talks with U.S. officials including Biden’s National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. The F-15s need to be built and would not arrive in Israel for several years. Israel wants to increase its air power not just to fight Hamas but to deter the threat from Iran and its Lebanese proxy Hezbollah.
The military package includes a large number of F-15 aircraft, aircraft munitions and support services, training, maintenance, and many years of contractor support during the lifecycle of the aircraft, which could be up to two decades. CNN reported that the agreement may include up to 50 F-15s.

Few years back, billions more of our tax dollars to Israel were handed out———designated a “loan.”
But Israel got its lobbies to manhandle Congress.
The battered, bruised Congress sap-happily passed a law turning the “loan” into a “gift.”
The difference is that Israel is going to win, with or without our help. Israel created their Iron Dome by improving on the Patriot missile. They have created rifle sights that can follow moving targets and are close to perfecting a laser weapon to shoot down missiles and drones. They have also built nuclear weapons with no one’s help and have been wise enough not to boast about it. They are also decent humanitarians and if they wanted to commit genocide they would have done it years ago. They deserve to win and why don’t we back a winner for a change?
The Ukraine is nothing but a despotic client-state of America and the CIA’s playground of death. The sooner the Ukraine surrenders the better for both the Ukraine and America. Tehran can’t touch Israel. Iran’s missiles are a total joke. Israel has easily enough air defense to shoot down everything the pitiful Iranians have. Israel shoots down 99.999999999999999999% of everything that could possibly be shot at it. Why does Israel have to keep all the U.S. bought and paid for air defenses? Israel sits on its mountains of copious U.S. weapons while our Uke allies are slaughtered. Israel insists on having ten times or a hundred times what it legitimately needs to defend against Iran’s puny capability. Bottom line, send more U.S. taxpayer billions to Israel to further pile it on.
