Israel prepares air force to hit Iran ‘clearly and forcefully’ in response to missile barrage: report

Israel has decided to hit Iran “clearly and forcefully” and is already preparing its warplanes to carry out the strike, according to a report on Monday.

The reported decision comes after two war cabinet meetings in which leaders of the Jewish nation debated how to respond to Saturday’s barrage of 350 suicide drones and missiles.

Israel’s Channel 12 news carried the report — which was widely picked up in local media.

Channel 12 said the country’s air force — which includes US-made F-16, F-15 and F-35 fighter jets — is already gearing up to deliver a retaliatory counter-strike against the rogue Islamic nation, though no timeline was provided.

According to the report, the strike will be intended as a message that Israel “will not allow an attack of that magnitude against it to pass without a reaction.”

The modified F-35s have been working over Hamas and Hezbollah for months now, even striking Damascus, Syria.

The Iran AF consists of US F-4s and F-14s, but they also have the Russian S-300 SAM system, so it isn't something to take for granted.

Israel doesn’t usually advertise its intentions...unless it serves a purpose.

Psychological warfare? Keep Iran all keyed up, by giving false dates and times. Constantly keeping them stressed out, about an impending attack, then eventually hitting them hard.

Many Iranians hate the Mullahs and hate the fact that Iran is an Islamic republic. They like the Western ways.

Best thing for Israel is to do nothing. So Netanyahu needs to be wise and not take their bait.

Even with conformal fuel tanks that’s a stretch without aerial refueling (will the Saudis allow it?)

They will get inflight refueling, and I think will have permission to use Jordanian and Saudi airspace. The Saudis are worried that Iran will nuc THEM. I think Iran hates Saudi Arabia, more than they hate Israel. Maybe Israel is only planning on missile strikes. We don’t know, but it keeps Iran guessing.

I just thought: if this conference had really happily taken place, to defuse the European crisis: couldn’t the Polish nation have been given justice as well - at long, long last?
