Yes, but the best outcome would have been that an international solution to the entire crisis should have been found.
Still, what would have become of Poland? Westminster had actually promised „home rule“ to the Irish in 1914, so it seems to me that the Irish problem would have evaporated out of its own accord.
But the Poles? In 1914, they were the largest European people with no polity of their own… :-(
Piłsudski would have had something to say about it, one way or the other.
