The United States Supreme Court is holding arguments in Fischer v. US, a case that could reduce criminal charges filed against more than 350 Trump supporters who participated in the US Capitol protest on January 6, 2021.
The Department of Injustice (DOJ) is using a statute called “obstructed a Congressional proceeding” to prosecute hundreds of these protesters simply for exercising their First Amendment rights. This statute is a serious felony with the potential of 20 years behind bars.

The defendants in enron were being investigated, so they destroyed evidence and performed actions making it harder to get to the truth about their crime. In other words, they already were suspects and they were attempting to destroy evidence.
The protesters on j6 were not under investigation when they visited the capitol. They were not attempting corruptly to destroy evidence about their crime. There was no crime committed that they were intentionally trying to conceal.
Enron criminals knew they’d done something wrong and their destruction of evidence was to hide it. J6 protesters were not already participants in a crime they were seeking to conceal. In fact, they were not trying to conceal anything. There’s hours and hours on camera of them protesting.
They did not violate this law. It is not an anti-protester law. If it is, then it is unconstitutional since protest is protected activity.
Title 18 Section 1512(c), which reads:
“Whoever corruptly— (1) alters, destroys, mutilates, or conceals a record, document, or other object, or attempts to do so, with the intent to impair the object’s integrity or availability for use in an official proceeding; or (2) otherwise obstructs, influences, or impedes any official proceeding, or attempts to do so, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.”

FOX hires them and that’s when I break my neck getting to the remote to turn them off - if Tarlov is on The Five - forget it - not in my house! They’ve even brought back Marie Harf...The “mute” button on my remote is the one used the most.

Whoops - there is a liberal mindset on FOX I can’t take and that’s Leslie Marshall. I turned the TV on around noon today and there she is... No matter the topic - I don’t stay around anymore to hear her - she always had to get in “my husband is a medical doctor” - even if the topic was about the local dogcatcher...One very odd person!!
I am of the personal opinion that not one Rep or Senator were in danger in any way on Jan 6. There were no firearms as far as I know and no protestors actually attacked any Capital Police that I have read. But I have read that the police attacked the protestors and one even killed a protestor with no consequences. Where is the “insurrection”?
It would be so easy to create a 3-D exploded time lapse of where every J6 person, FBI, cop, Fed, and Congress critters was, along with people harmed and property damaged. Every thing everyone did is easy to document.
Why has nobody done this?
