Always nice to avoid the bushes! LOL Gizmo can duck under the branches while he drags you through.

Enjoy the nice day ahead. There haven’t been all that many this month. We have storms coming through the next three days and a cool-down this weekend too.
I just want a day without wind.

I think I’m ready to crash and burn. For some reason, I have very little energy this week, and all I want to do is sleep. I hope I get over this soon. I don’t like the feeling. LOL!

See ya tomorrow!

Choices Matter

Bible in a Year :

There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.

Proverbs 14:12

Pastor Damian’s schedule included hospital visits to two people nearing death who’d chosen two different life paths. In one hospital was a woman beloved by her family. Her selfless public service had endeared her to many. Other believers in Jesus had gathered around her, and worship, prayer, and hope filled the room. In another hospital, the relative of a member of Pastor Damian’s church was also dying. His hardened heart had led to a hard life, and his disheveled family lived in the wake of his poor decisions and misdeeds. The differences in the two atmospheres reflected the contrasts in how each had lived.

Those who fail to consider where they’re headed in life often find themselves stuck in uncomfortable, undesirable, and lonely places. Proverbs 14:12 notes that “there is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.” Young or old, sick or well, wealthy or impoverished—it’s not too late to reexamine our path. Where will it lead? Does it honor God? Does it help or disrupt others? Is it the best path for a believer in Jesus?

Choices do matter. And the God of heaven will help us make the best choices as we turn to Him through His Son, Jesus, who said, “Come to me, . . . and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

Reflect & Pray

What about your path of life needs reexamination or correction? What’s keeping you from asking for God’s help and courage to make corrections?

Dear Jesus, You’re the source of life. Please give me the courage and strength to surrender my life to You and do what honors You.

You got a good picture of the crescent shadows! We saw them here as we got close to totality. Like with you, radu, they showed up on the shadows of the leaves on the trees.

The birds swarmed and flew quite haphazardly a couple of minutes before totality and went into the trees like they do at dusk. The sun had been dancing in and out of thin clouds all day, but we had no problem watching the moon’s projection through our eclipse glasses.

But right when totality hit, the clouds parted like a curtain. It was like God’s hands was parting them. It was such a beautiful and amazing sight and I now understand why people travel long distances to see a total eclipse. It was breathtaking and evoked an emotional reaction none of us expected.

It's quite an experience all right. Some of the pictures I saw were amazing. This one, taken in Arkansas, blew me away...

Wow! We didn’t see any planes flying across it here.

My neighbor’s young adult son who was part of our watching party took this one. He had some pretty impressive gear set up and got the prominences very clearly.

Beautiful. I loved that sun flares could be seen when the eclipse was in totality!

Both pics are great.
And talk about a lucky shot with the one of the plane passing by.

I wish I could have headed west to see this one but have to settle for having seen one at least. It’s VERY easy to understand why people travel far and wide to see total eclipses. The experience is amazing and addicting.

I have a question for people here. I am in the middle of a discussion with a guy on Bari Weiss's Substack (The Free Press) he says "The hate is defacing the Capitol building, feces in Pelosi's office." He has a link to a NY Post article.

My question. Has Anyone ever hear of this story? Because I never did.
My replay "Here is my problem. (as said) in the last 3+ years we have heard So many Stories about Jan. 6 that turned out Not To Be True. Maybe this really happened...Maybe it didn't. Thing is If this really happened it would have been all over the new right up until today, we would have heard much about in in the Jan. 6 investigation committee, with witnesses, photos, videos. I mean these people have been accused of everything but being late for dinner.

I Thank You in advance.
