Democratic candidates Peter Herzberg and Mai Xiong are projected to win their special elections in two Michigan state House races, allowing the party to regain full control of the state Legislature, according to Decision Desk HQ.

Xiong defeated Republican Ronald Singer in District 13, which includes parts of Detroit, Center Line and Warren in Macomb and Wayne counties, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Meanwhile, Herzberg defeated Republican Josh Powell in District 25, which includes parts of Wayne, Canton and Westland in Wayne County, according to the news outlet.

Xiong is a former refugee from Thailand who most recently served on the Macomb County board of commissioners. Herzberg was a member of the Westland City Council.

Not as depressing as it looks; these were two Democratic seats the incumbents vacated in midterm, leaving the Statehouse deadlocked 54-54 instead of D 56-54R. As I understand it, these are in Wayne County which is Detroit.

I’m afraid it’s been game over for a while.

There still is an election in Novemeber, so not sure what that means for the state. But yes this has been occupied territory for awhile because the Republican party in Michigan has no ground game.

Another American is tossed out by the ‘ganders and replaced by a cowardly refugee who ran away from his own country rather than fight for it. No wonder America is really starting to suck really bad.

The Democrats have imported all the best practices to ensure a win.

I guess it’s really no big deal. These districts are all part of the new miggy takeover colonies in America.

MI will be turned into another Dem one-party dictatorship just like CA.

I seriously doubt we will vote our way out of this.

“Is MI getting that blue or was this low turnout?”

Democrats will vote Dem no matter what.

These “elections” were in Michigan’s foreign miggy colonies. Americans can’t win in those third world crapholes. They don’t want to win there.

I think it’s always a tough slog for Republicans in MI. Back a few years it was Labor that posed the obstacle. Nowadays, it may surprise some, it’s the upward of 90 colleges and universities in that state, each one of which supplies more leftist activists than most states have to fight.

Ah, special elections. I imagine they found some special ballots too. And special vote counters.

“I’m afraid it’s been game over for a while.”

*************

Many people who grew up in this country recognize this. The demographics, culture, morality and ethos have all changed. Not the same country it once was, sadly.

Even if Trump should get re-elected the vast array of forces working against him (even in his own party) will make it exceedingly difficult to reverse the extent of damage that’s already been done to this country by decades of destructive liberalism.

We are much like Rome, only without the togas.

Democrats can’t fix anything they will destroy a beautiful patriotic state and backfill it with replacements that will surely unify and be harmonious.

Trying to cope but failing.
This Michigan where my ancestors arrived legally in the 1800s is turning into a hellhole that is almost unbearable.
Hard for me to stand being around so many woke Progressives when I go out anywhere without taking a quick shower when I get home.
I hate and loathe them.
But I will never give up battling them.

It’s HARD to recalibrate.

All this talk of Dems and Republicans holding state houses.

One more time — these are fringe parties. Independents are not only dominant, they are also ascendant. 46% of the electorate. Dem and GOP are 27% each.

These seats are held only until Independents tire of whoever, and they won’t tire about tax and spend, abortion or even guns. They care about Drain the Swamp and the Border.
